Black Diesel Coffee

These people really know how to make great coffee and the outdoor setting is great. However, the food menu seems to be a year out of date... Why a coffee shop which has so much together can't update their food menu beats me.

Other place I didn’t want to post a review but feel like I needed to 😭 I really don’t enjoy posting one stars especially for some of my favorite places!!! I LOVE black diesel coffee the quality is amazing. What gets a one star from me is I hadn’t been to the place in over a year and so I went in for my birthday this month to get a free drink! I was apart of the rewards system before Covid and missed that they switched to a new rewards program! So they actually made me pay for my drink on my birthday and told me to put in the new rewards program my birthday and “hopefully” I would get a free drink. Well the program didn’t recognize my birthday as being that day so now I’m unsure if I will be getting my free birthday drink or be retuning to black diesel sadly. I used to love this place so much!! Hope the costumer service can recognize that the happiness of the customer should come first especially on a birthday!! I tipped them well too!!

Had a delish, complex pour over and enjoyed it in a comfy chair. Will come back.

Lovely seasonal lattes. Great environment for working or studying, particularly in the warmer months with their outdoor seating.

Went there for a latte, coffee tastes good but the staff was very unfriendly, no greetings, no smiles, impatient and rude, asked what syrups they have and she almost threw the menu to you…just feel like the customers are inconveniencing them for being there. A 12oz latte with raspberry syrup was $8+ definitely overprice and not worth it given their customer service and you are getting you coffee in a thin paper cup.

We stopped in prior to heading to the A2 Art Fair for a little afternoon pick-me-up, excited to try the coffee that we had heard good things about. We ordered a chai with almond milk, the rum cold brew, and an energy bar ... for $17. Price seemed a bit on the pricey side, so we were expecting outstanding drinks. We got to the car and BOTH drinks fell short of just ok. The chai was incredibly watered down, there was BARELY a taste of flavor, and the cold brew tasted like a day-old pot of coffee; bland, flavorless, and lackluster. It was really disappointing to say the least. Pretty bummed about this experience.

The quality of the coffee is great. We have the "Moeder's Blend" whole bean coffee on subscription and love it so much. There were some technical issues with the subscription at first, but Nick was really helpful in resolving the issues and getting us back on track. Not only that, but he personally delivered one of our orders to ensure we received our coffee on time in spite of the website glitch. Top notch coffee, and top notch customer service!

One of the best places for a good iced mocha. Delicious wraps will fill your belly. Well worth a visit if you’re in the area.

I visited during my trip to Ann Arbor for a Michigan game. As an Ohio State fan I was an easy target for the staff and customers but was treated so warmly during my visit.

Let’s get to the ambience - super cool. Everything was warm and inviting. The music was upbeat and there were a lot of smiling customers; a long awaited win over one of your biggest rivals will do that to a crowd.

The coffee was exceptional. I got a honey latte with oat milk; one of the best drinks I’ve had in awhile. We also got a panini and a waffle - neither disappointed. And oh by the way the barista was super legit - he knew his coffee and was cranking out high quality drinks like a 1st round draft pick at Starbucks.

I’ll definitely be back; hopefully after a Buckeye win next time 😀
