Highland Blush Café

What a great little coffee experience! The coffee is good, the selection pleasing, and the apple cinnamon scones something to “write home about.” I had one of the best cappuccinos I have ever had here, and I am a former barista of a national coffee chain.
The venue itself rings of history, aesthetic and fun. From their “game” room to their center stage open to a variety of local and regional acts, Highland Blush is a great place to meet friends and just “be.” Don’t miss this cool little place on your next trip through mid-Michigan!

This coffee shop is absolutely the best, the owner is so genuinely interested in the betterment of the community. Coffee is delicious consistently and the food is always handmade to order. Highland Blush is a great place to study, get some work done, meet friends, or even just spend some time unwinding. 100% recommended for lunch or even just a coffee!!

Absolutely the coolest place in Alma, hands down. The coffee and teas are exceptional, and priced lower than any chain coffee shop. The staff is friendly and humble, and it's clear that Highland Blush isn't just a job for them, it's a home and a family. They always have fun events going on for the community and countless opportunities for people to share their niche talents and hobbies. I cannot gush enough over this place, it's a wonderful establishment that brings people together.

This place is awesome! High-quality coffee, relaxed atmosphere, local artwork on the walls, and a great music selection - you'll never study at Starbucks again! The owners are enthusiastic and friendly; they know good coffee and they're excited to help people learn about it. With a game area in the back and an event space for live music, this is going to be your one-stop-shop for local art and social life.

Very overpriced for what you get. Cappuccino was not good, and country music played loudly inside. I came to get some work done before a meeting nearby but won’t be coming back.

This is my favorite place to be! The staff is incredibly kind and they are always willing to help you find your new favorite drink! The food is top quality and the atmosphere is perfect for studying or meeting up with a friend. All around a wonderful place to spend your time!

I absolutely love highland blush. They deserve your love and support too as such a great local business. I’ve always had a great experience there and I try to support them as much as possible. Their food is incredible and eat one is made with love and care. My go to is the California turkey bacon salad which is surprisingly filling. The guac really makes that salad creamy and delish. Also, they’re super inclusive and welcoming. Not just “hang a pride flag and call it a day” kind of inclusive but they actively invite and support marginalized groups by working with the community and bring them in for shows, events, and fundraising. I can’t recommend Highland Blush enough.

Love this place, great food and coffee. Only downside is the paper straws! They tend to get soggy before I finish my drink😔

My salad was amazing and fresh! The server was kind and friendly, but she needed another person to help. It looked like another employee was there, but he didn't help her out. (Not sure of the story there.) There is potential for a really cool experience here, but they may need to hire more staff for the lunch hour.

Went there for a girls day out and it was the perfect little spot to enjoy nice quiet conversation. The matcha tea was super delish as were the salads we ate. We will definitely be enjoying another girls lunch there again.
