Highland Blush now has in-person dining for drinks and food in beautiful Downtown Alma. The coffee me and my friends has this past weekend was PHENOMENAL! Highly recommend the pumpkin cinnamon latte. The owner was the sweetest and was so nice to chat with while inside. The decor is to die for and there’s lots of board games to play with your friends and family. Couldn’t think of a better coffee shop in the greater Central Michigan area!

We discovered a new favorite in Alma, MI, the Highland Blush. A coffee shop cadence with delicious food, will be a must stop the next time we’re in town.

Excellent service, good food, lovely atmosphere. We showed up unannounced with a group of 7 for breakfast, and Damien was the only employee working. He kindly let us know that he was on his own, and proceeded to serve us as best as he could, which we were all more than pleased with. In summary, maybe give this place a heads up phone call if you plan to bring a group, but expect nothing less than a great experience regardless.

First off, the Vietnamese Boba is outstanding. I wasn’t expecting the coffee jellies to be cubes but I’m not complaining. Others have left bad reviews talking about price but you get what you pay for. I don’t mind that I spent $18 on two Vietnamese Bobas (not to mention that one was nondairy), because of how well made they were. Even the ice is fancy! If you expect a fancy boba drink for $2 then you should manage your expectations. Drinks aside, I want to highlight how impactful it is to have a space that is so clearly queer-centered in town. Growing up in this area I WISH I would have seen this type of establishment, it probably would have saved me years’ worth of internalized homophobia. I am also grateful that they host Drag Nights in a place that is (to my knowledge) alcohol-free. And any locals who aren’t down with the fact that these performances happen are free to go elsewhere because Highland Blush is a queer space that this part of Michigan desperately needs, whether they want to admit it or not. It also helps that the drinks are spectacular. I’ve not lived in this area for a long time but from now on when I visit I will be making a stop here before I leave.

A great place to gather with friends and family. Amazing coffee, fun games, and lots of fun community events going on!

Ordered an iced honey lavender latte and was given a drink that visibly had 2 inches of syrup on the bottom. Thought that maybe it just hadn't been mixed yet so I stirred it and discovered the drink was CHUNKY. (And no, it wasn't boba) Not sure if the syrups were old or if it was the milk.. either way it was a little disturbing. Luckily my husband's drink wasn't chunky so we could at least share that.

Absolutely delicious! I ordered with delivery. Food was fresh, warm and looked just as good as it smelled. The Giant muffin was perfect. Thank you for a wonderful breakfast. We ended up with a free sandwich also.

Great espresso and festive atmosphere and great barista. Highly recommend trying. Free wifi and cozy lounge with instruments available for the public.

It's a nice place that caters to all types. You can go in for socialization, or during off activity hrs for a quiet cuppa. This was my morning with a slice of pie, cuppa tea and solitare while killing the hr from the appt time I screwed up downtown. Very pleasant.
