The food is so interesting. Best bread anywhere for miles. Service exceptional. Don't miss this place! We had the eggs with polenta, portabella mushroom and spinach. Also the spicy eggs.

You HAVE to go here! For those of you who have been in the Berkshires, you know that Chef Aura has DYNAMITE food. When I was back for a visit, and a friend and I decided to come here for breakfast, we didn't put it together that this was where Aura was. And boy, were we HAPPY! Price: More than fair. Taste: Exceptional. Location: A secret gem in a plaza that when you go inside, you are transported to an incredible dining spot. The extras, like incredible bread, pastries, coffee, sauces for your food make this a MUST GO in Pittsfield.

Words cannot begin to describe the pure disappointment I felt once I learned that Berkshire Mountain Bakery stopped producing the glorious gift to mankind: the kouign amann. The golden sparkle of kouign amanns made every gray, depressing day that passed, into one of jubilation. However, that ray of light dimmed into an eternal darkness. The kouign amanns are gone, and so too is my hope for man kind.
If kouign amanns have millions of fans, I am one of them.
If kouign amanns have one fan, I am that fan.
If the world is against kouign amanns, then I am against the world.
I ask for you to bring back kouign amanns, so that peace can return to the world.
Thank you.

Our favorite bakery. This time we ordered on line and picked up in the store, we were able to order anything we wanted from a long list not just what was available. The order were waiting for us in a shed near the main store. I show the shed in my photo.

This pains me greatly to write. I have looked forward to eating here for a longtime. Netflix series turned me on to Berkshire Mountain, but (here it comes), I drove 2 hours to eat lunch her and - no restroom even for paying customers..... I'm 67 and 2 hours after drinking my share of coffee - need a restroom. Fairness I understand Covid fears but a place that named "CAFE" should provide soap, running water (I know hand sanitizer was) for their dining customers. So I can't give a review on the Berkshire Mountain Bakery Pizza Cafe food.

We get pizza or baked goods here regularly -- sometimes multiple times in a week. There many things we really love about this place, which is why we keep going back. The menu is creative and selections of pizza and pastries are all interesting and yummy.
Aura is also great to work with in terms of ordering baked goods in advance, and she is especially skilled at making gluten-free options ***that do not taste gluten-free.***
We are a fan of the take-and-bake pizzas, and heating up pastries ourselves. Lately we've also been trying some of their prepared frozen complete meals, which have actually been pretty darn good!
Really the only thing we're not crazy about is the coffee....but that's a minor sacrifice compared to the enormous pleasures we get from patronizing Berkshire Mountain Bakery.

Love the bread and chocolate, great selection. Person taking our order seemed judgy when we asked if they carried Diet Coke. I know staffing is difficult all around so won’t hold it against them but maybe a little extra customer service training is needed.

Saw it on Netflix, took a 2.5 hour drive to get there and i must say, it was worth it. Everything we tasted like from various types of breads to sweet treets to pizzas was an experiance for the pallet. A must must must try for all who know good bakery.

I was really looking forward to receiving the breads and cookies I ordered from this bakery, as recommended on the series ‘Cooked’.
I live on the West Coast. I am sure these foods may taste good the same day they are made, but I was reassured by the staff member that they last 5-6 days without preservatives, so I ordered for them to be shipped. All the breads (sliced loaves: Spelt, Sour dough, Whole Wheat) arrived very, very dry after a two day air shipment. At best I can use them for croutons or stuffing mix.
I received the chocolate mini ciabattas as well, and they were tough and dry although the chocolate that was used was very tasty. The cookies (oatmeal) were not fresh as well, and did not taste good. I am not sure if it was the recipe, or if they were old.
Unfortunately, I feel this purchase was a disappointment and waste of money.
