The desserts are not super vegan friendly but you can always get a good cup of coffee and enjoy the ambiance. They also feature really great artists to hang their work. I don't know who curates but I usually enjoy the pieces

Good coffee, but the table setup is weird. Students should be allowed to sit and work there all day (main purpose of a coffee shop) but there’s a limit on studying time due to limited seats - makes sense, but I also don’t think that students should be kicked out for studying there too long, especially in a college town.

Hands down best espresso in the valley, and the green and carrot smoothies are amazing. The sandwiches are packed with healthy local fare and very good. I usually grab the Nantucket or a bagel with lox. They have packaged tea breads at the counter too that can make for a nice gift.

Clean and friendly! Coffee is GREAT! FOOD is AMAZING! BAKED GOODS were superb!
One minus- this is not a place where youd just sit and chill, (I mean I guess one could but this place has no couches or sofas FYI) it's more grab your food and coffee, eat and go!
Overall, loved it! ❤

I love their raspberry oatmeal muffins so much, it is lucky I do not live closer, or I would turn into a giant raspberry oatmeal muffin! Their granola is also not to be missed - just the right mix of crunchy, slightly sweet, nutty goodness.

The few times I’ve come here, coffee is so-so, baked goods are stale. What I noticed though last time which was troubling is that the listed prices are lower than what they charge you. It was a negligible amount (five cents), but if done repeatedly it adds up. When I raised this to the attention of the cashier she tried to insist it was because of tax despite the machine saying base amount. Not sure if it’s just a careless error in the system, or something else going on, but you’d think when there’s quite clearly a written distinction it’s something staff should not ignore 🤷🏼♀️

Five stars for quality of food. Exceptional bakery items, and a large menu with sandwiches, salads, smoothies, bagel sandwiches, and more. The coffee is also very good. Be prepared to wait for a table on the weekends, and sometimes even on the weekdays. Also, be prepared to pay for your experience, and don't expect a sandwich alone to be filling unless you pair it with a side item. (Price is why I downgrade to 4 stars).
$10 minimum credit card purchase, otherwise bring cash or use the ATM in the store.

The woodstar cafe is unfortunately resting a bit on its laurels from years ago. The food and coffee are comprable with other cafes but the service has been lacking during the pandemic. More than once I was sold food and coffee right at closing and was not advised. They cleared out and locked up their outdoor tables and sent me on my way promptly after I got my food and drink. Comprable bread can be found across the street for a lesser price. Iconica Social Club now offers competition also across the street. Hopefully woodstar will pick up this game out of necessity

Great spot for coffee, tea, and pastries. The breakfast food is decent, though some of the sandwiches are a bit pricey. It's usually fairly busy, and it can be tough to get a table during the day while the tables are taken over by laptop jockeys.

I have a bunch of dietary limitations. When I walk into Woodstar, I see a plethora of delectable options. Gluten free, vegan, sugar free... You name it. Maybe I'm biased but I don't think the favor has suffered at all from the missing ingredients. There is a fitness muffin that I would call in to reserve. A chocolate hazelnut cookie that ignites the little gremlin in me who wants a whole batch. A sugar free gluten free peanut butter cookie. Lately, I've been coming in and ordering the soup of the day for breakfast which has been a nourishing way to start the day. There's a large photograph of the staff in dressy black, red, and grey clothing. It's a compelling portrait. You can see comraderie. You can see pride. I think about what the parameters were. What were they doing before the photo. That did they do afterwards. Regardless, I see the same faces as well as some new ones when I arrive for breakfast.
