Fantastic espresso drinks and coffee. It's the perfect coffee shop to sit and do some work in if you can find a seat. Prices are a little high for espresso drinks but it's always worth it for the quality!

I am a regular (and huge fan) of Amherst Coffee, so I decided to swing by Northampton coffee during a recent trip. I found it to be comfortably similar, with the same killer drinks, good internet, calm and pleasant surroundings, and always friendly and chatty baristas. Perhaps it was just the time I was there, but it seemed to be more of a hangout spot than a study spot than Amherst, so a little louder. But still very pleasant and the nicest coffee shop I have found in Northampton. If only it wasn't so far off the beaten path. For right downtown - Haymarket ;)

Phenomenal Espresso is here to be found.
Very friendly service. They appreciate the business.
Cheers!

Coffee is ok, but the most disappointing thing was they never had what they advertised. They boasted a nitro cold brew. Went in the morning, early afternoon, on different days...nothing. I don't even bother stopping by anymore.
On the positive side: service is excellent. People are nice.

More customer friendly approach would help.

I got a small drip. Tastes like a high quality fresh bean. Personal and hip feel to the space. Open tap of filtered water. 8oz coffee option. Great experience!

Great locally roasted coffee. Have really nice specialty coffee drinks too that are packed with sugar. WiFi is solid and a comfortable place to work.

I was sitting at a small table with Gwyn, both of our laptops out taking up all the space, it was kind of a tight fit, but we made it work. It was busy the entire time we were there. The Mocha I got was smooth, not too sweet, but I enjoyed it. At one point a door behind Gwyn suddenly opened out of nowhere, and it gave me the heeby jeebies. Like some sort of ghost hunting thing, behind the door lead to the basement, and I was so pumped to just walk down there, but then Gwyn shook her head and said no.
I also got a grilled cheese sandwich, it was small, just cheese between two pieces of crusty bread. Yeah, the bread was really good. The mini pickles tasted like vinegar though.
The bathroom is also kind of scary. Like the sitting room slowly gets smaller and smaller towards the back, until you get to the bathroom door, and in the bathroom the toilet takes up the whole back wall, like a willy wonka chocolate factory. Oh, also the light for the bathroom is outside the bathroom, so if you ever want to terrify your friend, just flick the switch while they're doing their thing. Like I am sure you can get some great stories out of this place.
But I would not recommend this place for studying for long periods of time because the music that was playing all sounded the same, and personally, it was driving me mad. It kind of reminded me of that game where you have monsters on an island that sing, and I'm just not a fan of those games.

We stopped in towards the end of a very long road trip. Cafe is clean and bright, staff is friendly and coffee and tea drinks were excellent.

I would've posted a picture of my hot chocolate but it was too good! Relaxing atmosphere for a Saturday morning. Crazy how I just stumbled upon this place while waiting for an appointment next door.
