Coffee lovers dream. They have regular coffee, latte, cappuccino, cold brew... Have to say they also have some lovely muffins. If you want to enjoy away from the bedlam of town, head up the road for 2 minutes past the famous pagoda tree to Cooke Street were you’ll a quiet little beach by the harbour.
I ordered a bubble tea for $5.95 (already pricey if you ask me) and then they charged an extra $1.50 for the bubbles— IN THE BUBBLE TEA. I was thrown off, and too top it off if you’re lactose intolerant any milk besides whole milk is an extra $1! I spent $15 on two medium sized drinks, they were good, but let me tell you i’ve had PLENTY that taste same that and were under $5. I understand the mark up for a tourist town and an island nonetheless, but this was absurdly overpriced for a bubble tea.
As a coffee enthusiast, I've been to some of the best coffee shops in the world (I'm looking at you, Cyril Lignac in the 11th arrondissement and Virgin in Seville). Here, the coffee itself is just... fine. However, the milk is oversteamed and the service is rude. If you ask for soy, they'll give you regular milk. If you buy two drinks (with tip), and then dare to request a glass of water, they'll point to the bottled Perrier and snap that they don't give away water. Charming!
Looks promising, but mediocre coffee. Siphon coffee was watery and burnt (light roast!), milk for cappuccino was over-frothed, food and service are meh ... nothing good to say. Go to Behind The Bookstore instead for quality coffee!
This coffee was very bad. The regular coffee tasted like water. I asked someone else to try it and they agreed. I've never thrown out a cup of coffee before. Unfortunate.
Got a sandwich that tasted like Dunkin sandwiches. The egg may not have been premade but it really looked tasted and had that texture. Wouldn't be surprised.
DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY HERE FOR BUBBLE TEA!!: She told me that the flavors are made from a POWDER mixed with milk when I tried to ask her for a flavored tea with bubbles without milk. It took her legit 5 minutes to understand what I was saying for her to declare they didn’t have the drink I wanted. This place is overpriced as the small bubble tea was the same price as a medium in NYC. Instead of getting the powder, my sister and I opted for lemonade and jasmine bubble tea. The lemonade was very sour and when I added sugar it tasted like maple syrup. The jasmine tasted like water with white flavoring for it to look like milk. All in all, we both threw out our expensive drinks after a few sips.
This is my favorite type of coffee shop. You walk it, and it’s big enough for maybe 15 people stand waiting for coffee. Cute and cozy. I got the best coffee I’ve had on the island here. You can’t sit and drink your coffee because there aren’t tables, but it’s great for to-go.
Glad I found Toccopuro. I am a coffee snob. I love a properly crafted cup of coffee. Toccopuro has some amazing coffee not only on island but some of the best coffee I have had. If you want a cup of coffee. I would suggest checking them out. I can not wait to go back.
Was verbally harassed because I apparently made an error in my drink ordering. Did not ask to have my drink fixed because I simply thought they gave me the wrong size. They insisted they would add milk and that I ordered wrong. Was bullied by the staff in the back loudly and told to order differently “next time.” If you’re looking to be bullied, this is the place for you.
