Bulrushes Cafe

I ordered some food for mother's day breakfast, the French toast with bananas and the surf and turf eggs Benedict. Food was very tasty. The French toast was not overly sweet and the steak and lobster were cooked perfectly. The only thing keeping this 5 stars was the egg was not runny. The place was. Ice and clean with a nice decor. I loved that the beautiful pictures on the wall as other decor are actually for sale. I assume they are local artists which makes me appreciate this place more for supporting locals. The staff was great and got my food out quickly. As I waited for my to go order, the staff was very attentive to the guests eating at the tables and were very friendly. When I did a search for best breakfast in calvert county, this place popped up. I am glad I found this place. I will definitely be back to try something different.

I at first felt this place was a bit pricey, but I have never left this establishment hungry. I ordered the cinnamon roll with icing and was really surprised by its size; I couldn't finish it. Their omelets are bigger and they offer a choice of sides/potatoes to go with it. The staff are friendly and the service is personable. This restaurant is unique in its presentation of their offerings. A little different and quirky, but well worth a visit.

The coffee is excellent 👌..I am definitely picky about my coffee! I love their breakfast sandwich! It's quite large, cooked perfectly and served hot! I'm going again Saturday!🤗
The Cafe has a nice comfortable atmosphere, all the staff are very friendly and polite..even the Chef came out to ask us how everything was. Most significant is how clean the Cafe is.. including the ladies room. I've been there twice and am looking forward to going again this Saturday!

A amazing cafe with a modern comfortable atmosphere and a friendly environment. The food was wonderful and I look forward to going back again to trysomething else. I am very happy we have a cafe like this in our town.

Best food in Calvert!!!! Super tasty I love the muffins and that Caesar salad with chicken was crazy good! Have to try the cranberry Brie grilled cheese ugh! Valerie we love you you are amazing girl!!!!! She is the reason I love it so much I’ve told everyone about this place!!!!!! Must try!

Greek burger was just ok, it needed to be a regular patty. It seemed like crumbled breakfast sausage not like a burger and not enough meat on mine for $17. The flavors were great tho. The Greek fries needed the taziki sauce used on the burger for dipping. Still all very fresh and tasty and great service.

Went in fire a late breakfast and was surprised to find the dining room full on a mid-Thursday morning.
My Breakfast plater was perfectly cooked and served quickly, especially considering how busy the place was.
Definitely impressed with the service culture, fiod quality and prices! !
Will be back.

This establishment means so much to my family and I! My sister has special needs and has recently accepted a position at Bulrushes Cafe as her first job! For any parent, family member, or loved one of an individual with special needs, there’s always a bit of caution during these types of life transitions. The owners and staff at Bulrushes have gone out of their way time and time again to show my family and sister that she is part of their family at Bulrushes! They go above and beyond to accommodate to her and encourage her to be her best! Every staff member has been nothing but kind, patient, and caring towards her. She looks forward to each shift she works because she recognizes how loved and cared for she is there! On behalf of my family, I’d like to thank the owners and staff for all their compassion and support. Bulrushes has made such an impact on my sister’s life by giving her a chance to work in the community in a meaningful way that makes her happy, which is all my family could have wanted for her. Every bite was a taste treat. Our cinnamon rolls and "pop tart" were yummy and the various sandwiches ordered by the family got rave reviews. I ate every crumb of mine. We highly recommend the broccoli slaw and potato salad. Homemade chips also good. This is a small family business you'll want to support as they add much to the quality of food offerings in the area. We try to stop by each time we're in town.
