Visited just before lunch hour. It was a bit crowded and people were certainly kept moving along and I can see that some folks could interpret this as a bit rude or unfriendly. I don't think that is actually the case. I'd call it "friendly efficiency". We enjoyed the food. It was a bit pricey, but excellent quality. Everything looked so good. Couldn't buy it all.

The breads, pastries, soups and sandwiches that are lovingly made at ABC are consistently of the highest quality. The bakers there are true artisans, passionately practicing their craft to the delight of any lucky enough to sample the fruits of their labor. The counter staff are some of the friendliest people in town too. As a former longtime Rockland resident a stop at ABC is always one of the highlights of a trip home. I miss y’all. ❤️

Left a bad taste in my mouth. The cheese danish was dry, the ginger cookie was crunchy around the edges and the chai tea was just a teabag plunked in hot water, I had to add the sugar and half and half (no other milk options) to try and make it somewhat palatable. The clerks were decent, but an interaction at the end of visit left me wishing I'd chosen another cafe. An older man eating at an outdoor table with his wife came back in to grab something from the table near the door with all the coffee/tea fixings. He was inside the shop for less than 30 seconds and was 6 feet away from everyone, yet the clerk rudely decided to play mask police - as he was walking out the door. The whole interaction was awkward and unnecessary, and her actions kept him in the shop longer without a mask. Plus she got closer than 6 feet. Her actions actually increased the risk of infection while being rude to a customer. There's enforcing a mask mandate, and then there's using the mask mandate to shame and belittle someone for a moment of forgetfulness. His mask was literally on his wrist, and he'd been apparently wearing it to order a few minutes earlier, but she had to passive-aggressively offer him another? I'm guessing they just lost 2 customers forever - him and me.

Disappointed with the premade chicken caesar sandwich. Not cheap and the chicken was chewy and tough with small pieces of bone in them.
I want to add that this was the first time in over 10 years I have had a bad experience. The sandwiches, breads and pastries are excellent. I have grabbed sandwiches for lunches for 4 years when I was working in Rockland.

I would give zero stars if I could. Ordered a vanilla wedding cake with an ombré design using rose gold butter cream frosting...meaning the frosting would have a gradient or graduating color from deep rose gold at the bottom to a lighter pink/white at the top. Spoke with the pastry chef directly about what we wanted and offered to send pictures of examples, but were assured that they understood what we wanted. When I went to pick up the cake it was white frosting with an orange stripe and orange rosettes. The staff was nice, but no one had a clue about what to do and could only suggest calling the pastry chef. It was clearly not what I ordered and the staff even agreed...they gave me a small discount, but I had to ask for it. The cake was very dry and crumbled like it had been frozen for a while before being frosted. I could have made a better one with box mix. I should have gotten a cake from Walmart or the grocery store!!! Extremely disappointing...especially since it was for a wedding and there was nothing we could do.

First time there. Got my husband a coffee and 2 slices of cake to go. He loved the coffee BUT the cake was very dry and the frosting tasted like cheap cool whip. Very disappointed and it looked so good

The coffee was just right and the cookie (ginger raisin with icing) was soft and delicious. All of the breads and baked goods looks amazing!

Bakery top notch. Breakfast sandwich is pretty good but I selected spinach and would have liked a little more than a few baby leaves. Thanks.

they kept us supplied with sweets during the shutdown of 2020 and even delivered. Soups and Sandwiches too. Start with a whoopie pie. Get a molasses cookie for sure, or a hermit. And a carrot cupcake will put a smile on your face. And the maple bun is a must-try. And on Fridays the mudslide cookies but only if you LOVE chocolate. SUPPORT SMALL BUSINESSES!
