Wow, this place is a must when visiting Portland. Honestly the best bagel / breakfast sandwich I've had in a long time (maybe ever?) and I don't make that distinction lightly :)
Had The Cure sandwich on a sea salt bagel. Simply perfect, wow! And if that weren't enough, the interior is so cute and the coffee was outstanding.

The bagels are the best in town! Specialty cream cheeses are the best thing ever!! I just wish it didn't take 20 min to get one. They're busy because they're awesome and well loved, but 20 min for a bagel doesn't make sense to me. I only go when I'm looking to waste time.

Super delicious wood fired bagel. Got the sea salt with casco bay butter and some jam. I'm so happy to have another bagel place in town! The bagels brought me in but the comfy atmosphere made me want to stay the morning. You can actually see all of the wood around for the oven and watch them bake bagels while you're here. It's just nice to see the whole process behind your breakfast. Also, in regards to the 1 star customer service review, I couldn't disagree more. They were busy but always polite. The one star can be ignored.

Got a half dozen bagels to take home, they were amazing ! We are new to Portland and happy to have found this place. I was born and raised in NYC (and very judgmental of bagels LOL), these are delicious!! Will definitely be back.

I could write about many positives aspects of Forage such as their sunny wide open dining area, tasty baked items and great bagels that match other greats in the area like Scratch or Rose Foods. Not to mention numerous delicious bagel sandwich options likely none of which will disappoint. However I will focus the entirety of the remainder of this review on the one item that has kept me coming back here over and over - the Whitefish.
I'm a reasonably big whitefish salad fan. It's creamy, salty, smoky and a little sweet usually, essentially everything you need. In all that I've had however I've never had an oil-based whitefish salad and this thing has totally changed my world. I would never have thought this would work and even now describing "oily mashed up smoked fish" it sounds questionable at best but I'm telling you, go try thing and let your mind be blown like mine. Or don't and leave more for me, whatever.

I’m absolutely in shock as to the enormous and beautiful space J then was placed into one place with a snarling guy who had the charm of a common that’s what he was garden snake. However I saw very happy employees in open spaces except for the fact I’m the customer with money to spend on my vacation. After I ordered my bagel that was over priced and lacking in cream cheese and wood-fired doesn’t that sound amazing sadly it wasn’t. And I was shocked by the hours 7 to 1: but what caused me to write this the final straw was I ordered a latte which was half full and it had too much foam. I was a barista for seven years in Hong Kong I’m quite certain I know what a latte is: So I told another snarling unhappy employee which seemed weird because everyone else was happily enjoying tve space I was suppose to enjoy. So she provided a half full cup very little milk and I think she actually foamed the coffee so waiting in a tiny and I mean tiny waiting room on front of open shelf’s and obnoxious screens my order came out. Mr Smarls came from behind hos customer service lair and asked me if I wanted tge half full cappuccino and I said no please make an actual latte: I got back a little fuller cup and still foamed coffee with a little milk: owner figure it out and let me tge valued customer enjoy a real place for everybody Baby including your full tone neighbors: you know the loyal rich ones!!

We were out of towners looking for a quick place to grab coffee and breakfast before heading home. Forage has great service, the best bagel sandwich we’ve ever had, and their coffee was amazing. 10/10 would recommend!

Tried to go here for breakfast on a Sunday morning. There was no obvious signage that this was the place. When you walk in the space is bright and open and utterly confusing. Could not find a menu, wasn’t even sure I was in the right place. Got in line in front of the bagel case. Still no visible menu. Heard the wait would be long for a bagel. Not a single person had greeted my group. Not into it. I prefer a spot with some kind of service on a chill Sunday.

Hot spot for everything. Best salt bagel and jalapeno cream cheese ever. I'm addicted. But seriously all kinds of good food. Staff is always upbeat and awesome. They'll do whatever they can to meet your needs. These people give back to the community in a big way.

Not impressed. Bagels are ok but overpriced and I found the process from on-site order to pickup to be a little frustrating.
Also not taking reusable and having a bunch of packaging worsened the experience. Might consider coming back once they have on-site eating again as the place is really cute.
