Great music venue. Good choices of beer and pub food. Bring extra cash for the musicians because the staff passed the hat several times each hour. The musicians get all of it, but that's it. Definitely a highlight of the Portland music scene.
The music was outstanding, but the servers were rude, and apparently they have a policy where you HAVE to buy something in order to even be allowed to stay. Which, the performer was a close friend of mine and was irritating considering he invited me. I'm not stingy, I bought a drink for the show anyway, but the whole demeanor about their "policy" upset me.
Great music, solid cocktails at an average price. No cover to get in but donation recommended for the band. You should definitely donate as these are great musicians who are working hard to entertain you!
Wonderful spot to catch local and visiting musicians & comedians. Love the concept - no cover at the door, pass the hat donations for the performers. Great cocktail and craft beer selection & a fab menu for food.
This place is my jam! I legit love it every time I go there, from the inventive bands that play to the fantastic cocktails. It's a great place for anything, from lounging with friends to a first or second date to whatever else.
Great atmosphere for drinks, music, and enjoyable company. The service (Bartender Ace!) was phenomenal and remembered me the next day when I picked up my bag after forgetting it. Would give them ten stars if I could. What a spot.
One of the best places to go for live music in Portland. Local and national acts. Intimate, yet plenty of seating. Delicious cocktails and a good, unpretentious food menu. Awesome staff!
Just naturally nice. No gimmicks. No attitudes. Music is the centerpiece to the environment. Enjoyable for all ages. Sometimes too loud is my only problem since it is an intimate venue.
A unique vibe in Portland is tough to achieve due to there already being so many but Blue offers an experience all their own. Kitchen is open late, good food, and the entertainment is on another level. Jazz night Tuesdays are fantastic and I heard the standup comedy on Monday is really great too.
Drinks were horrible tasting though the bartender tried so hard to make us something good. He was friendly. Waiter was slow, took our order finally and never brought it to us. After 1 hour and 43 minutes we left to find food somewhere else.
