When I go back to Portland I’d definitely go back there. I was driving to Orono from Boston and stopped in Portland to get coffee, and the first sip of the light roast coffee I got from Bard convinced me it was so much worth it to search for a roaster to get coffee from.
I’ve tried coffee from many roasters, and while generally they serve excellent coffee, coffee at Bard stands out among roasters too.
Will definitely go back when I’m in the area!

I love this place for its coffee. The really know their game. The barista art is the icing on the cake. Once my brother said that coffee like you get it here is a different beverage. Nit like normal coffee. Cone here and you’ll understand. I once thought Starbucks was this place. Once you’ve been here, Starbucks sucks. Highly recommended place.

Great little coffee shop in downtown Portland. Staff were kind and helpful. I really loved the effort put into doing latte art on every drink for dine in and take out, even the hot chocolate! Everything was delicious!

Bard is one of my favorite places in Portland for coffee. Their dirty chai is my favorite, hot or iced. I also love the cold brew and vietnamese coffee. Plus you can order at the takeout window and enjoy the sun while you wait.

If you're visiting Portland, I recommend going to Bard Coffee. Located in Old Port in Portland, the coffee shop is adjacent to a park which contains a takeout window for Bard. You can go into the front of the building to seat yourself inside if you're planning on staying for awhile. They offer all of the staples of a coffee shop but also have some lesser-available items like Vietnamese Coffee, or completely unique offerings like the Creamsicle Shakerato (shown in the photo).
Also, if you visit on a super hot day, there is ice water and cups near the sugar and mixing station. Very appreciated when it is 90° outside.

Great Chai and amazing vibes! Owner was amazing and explained the process of his bean roasting. Definitely a great place with normal hours.

It's a very nice place, in terms of the decor and the lighting. It's spacious, and seats a lot of people. It's very friendly for people who work remotely, and they make the majority of their customers.

Picking up some Bard beans at the start of my Maine stay was exactly the right choice, the service was phenomenal, staff friendly and the coffee made each morning that much better. Thanks!

So happy we found this place early in our Portland trip! The cappuccino is the best I've ever had anywhere. The iced oatmilk dirty chai is happiness in a cup. Do yourself a favor and buy the cardamom bun - superb. Friendly staff and great location.

Very rude staff. Saw the reviews, so decided to come here to pickup a coffee. I came here with my service dog, right away they said no dogs allowed no matter what. I told them I'm just picking up a coffee and that my dog is a service dog. Still rules are rules, they said if I left my dog outside I can order.
Your not the only coffee in town, Goodluck with such a bad attitude. I will let all my friend know when visiting Maine not to come here.
