The Store Ampersand

Love the home feel of this store. It has a little bit of everything; take time to look around. Roberta is a pleasant fixture!

Since moving to the Orono area, I've found myself here at least once a week - there's always something new & such an eclectic and fun variety of foods, gifts, and trinkets to look at. The coffee here is SPECTACULAR, too - seriously, you've got to try it, as it's some of the best in the area (especially when compared to nearby chain coffee shops.)

The store had potential, it was pretty cute. but the lady was rude to me but not my bf (he’s white and I’m not… do with that information as you see fit) and the bananas on display were older than the building they were in… so many flies on the banana 🙅🏾‍♀️

This place has been my go-to place for coffee, wine and gifts since I moved to the area in 2013. From high school to graduate school Ampersand has always been such a comforting hometown spot that I highly recommend to anyone! The espresso drinks and pastries have my heart- SO GOOD! If you're thinking about going- do it!

This place has a super friendly and chill vibe. You can find a lot of great stuff -- organic and local food and gifts. Try the "everything" cookie. The coffee is always good, and they have Nitrobrew.

My granddaughter and now I enjoy going to this wonderful general store with a potpourri of offerings from coffee and cakes, to candy, to wine, to any handy items you might need at home! Love it there!!

Really nice little General store with coffee, baked goods, candy, housewares, and lots of local products. We stopped and had a cup of coffee and the kids played chess for about 40 minutes. It was a very nice unhurried morning. and the folks running the place is quite nice as well. I would definitely come back next time I'm in Maine.

I work at a coffee house that gives an employee discount and I still rather visit this store for an assorted array of latte flavors and oat milk. The customer service is north of ordinary, it helps me appreciate the culture around living with a community. In fact, I’m anticipating my next visit tomorrow after work. I hope the chocolate croissants stick around until 13:00?

10 years ago, The Store was in a tough spot. Even with love and care, years of operation had taken a toll. Yet, one day last spring I came in and the Store has taken on new life. Going in now, I feel like a low again. I highly recommend the Pumpkin Chocolate Chip cookies, but get there early or you'll miss out.

Absolutely love Ampersand. Best coffee in town. Everyone is very friendly. They have the cutest little knick knacks! Great place to grab local eggs. They also have a wide selection of wine!
