Black Fly Coffee Co.

Traveling up to Bar Harbor we were looking for a coffee shop. No offense to Dunkin's but we were looking for something better, but also happy to avoid Starbucks. Stopped at Black Fly Coffee and it was one of the best cups I've ever had. The blueberry cobbler was just delicious. I can't wait to grab a cup on the ride home.

Black Fly has the best Cafe Au Laits anywhere in the area! So creamy, just like I had living in Europe! They have a great selection of sugar free syrups too. They also carry many local pastries and snacks. So glad to have them in the community!

I stopped here for the first time today. Mom and Pop, locally owned. Very friendly service! Highly recommend!

Black Fly Coffee does an amazing job. The espresso beverages are next level, and the bagels are equally impressive

I was REALLY excited to see that there would be a new coffee place close to home. I had the blueberry cobbler iced coffee yesterday and was upset that it wasn't good. I'm not sure if it's just because their staff isn't trained how to make coffee. I was hoping it would be an artisan coffee place that roasted their own coffee, but they don't make anything of their own. I'll just stick to my usual place.

I walked across the street from my campground. I tried to get a cup of coffee and a couple pounds of beans. The kid said I had to order on line or go to the drive through. He would not take my order face to face. There’s no description of the coffees anywhere. He did not want to bother explaining anything to us; just that we had to call our order in, order online or hit the drive through. You lost business today.

We are traveling through Maine and one of my favorite things to do is find coffee spots to stop at along our route. Black Fly Coffee Co. is conveniently located on 1A with an easy access drive through. Unfortunately, I think Black Fly has some kinks to work out.

Their electronic menu screens were having errors, the drive thru worker could not hear us through the drive thru speaker (made me flustered) and we found our order to just be “okay.” I ordered a regular drip coffee with a little milk and it tasted very watery - I wonder if they’re using the right ratio of grounds for their equipment or if they double brewed on the morning we visited. Our baked goods were yummy. Still! All fixable with practice. I wish them the best.
