531 Liberty Cafe

This place an amazing lunch break spot during work and also an amazing takeout spot when I failed to prepare dinner ahead of time during my work days... Yes, I have done lunch and dinner in one day from Liberty Cafe 😬

This is one of my favorite spots to eat in Houma. Everything is freshly made and tasty. The Bacon Jam Burger is absolutely exquisite. Good craft beer selection.

Not only is the food great but the atmosphere and service combine to make it one of the best restaurants around.

Simply the best meal I have had in all of Louisiana. I'm in town working for FEMA, and I've I'm trying to hit all the restaurants in Houma. This place is amazing.

Dinner salad, perfect size: perfect blue cheese salad dressing, perfect ingredients.

Shrimp with fried green tomatoes: perfect combination. I could have eaten five of these for a meal.

Margherita flatbread: I added green olives. It would have been amazing without them, but the green olives took it to the next level. Seasoned and cooked to perfection.

Service was top-notch.

Spent some time with the owners while I was ordering, what great guys! I had the lunch special that was absolutely wonderful. The others I was with had the burgers and truly enjoyed them. Great atmosphere, great place to eat, and the beer selection is excellent as well!

This Cafe has the best turkey burger ever! Since I do not eat red meat, it limits what is available at most places. Even though this place is not extra large, the menu is diverse and has something for everyone. Additionally, everything that anybody has ever ordered, has been good. I really don't know many places that no matter what you choose, it is always good. I highly recommend Liberty Cafe.

Absolutely adore this place. Not just a run of the mill restaurant. They have cajun cuisine with a flair and other gourmet food choices. It's a little pricey but worth every penny

Visiting from out of town. 531 Liberty Cafe came highly recommended by two different locals. The Edamame hummus and the turkey burger were also recommended, and neither disappointed. The 531 signature burger can be cooked to order so all of you who prefer rare to medium rare burgers can find a wonderful choice. The buns are unusually good, and you can even buy a quart of their house-made pickles to take home (sort of a bread and butter pickle with can cayenne kick).

The tuna tacos are to die for!
Chicken pot pie was very good!
The tomato basil soup was excellent!

This restaurant is a must if you love great food! Monday through Friday they feature a different dish that is not a part of the regular menu. Their regular menu is great though. I would eat here every meal if I could!

Delicious burger and brussel sprouts. Never had brussel sprouts and they are next level. Great quaint little joint. Bread pudding was delicious as well
