Food was awesome, menu looked wonderful. Will definitely try again while in Houma.

I love this place! Every time I come the food has been exceptional! My favorites are the grits and the fried green tomato poboy. I could eat it every day. I highly recommend.

After coming to Houma for nearly 3 years every other week this is my restaurant of choice. They are fresh, they are quick, and they are very consistent in quality! I can always count on there being a different meal every week if I ever get tired of the same thing! Great job guys and the renovations look great from Ida!

By happenstance, my husband and I ended up in Houma for the night needing a date night worthy meal and place to stay. We hit the internet and after reading many menus, we decided on 531 Liberty Cafe. Holy. Smokes. We loved everything from the moment we walked in. The cocktails were on point, made by our wonderfully charismatic server Shelby, and every bite of food we ate was excellent. Hats off to the chef. I’ve had 65 Turkey burgers in my life but none better than the one I had here tonight. Everyone was so friendly and attentive. Lucky for us, the next time we are in Houma, we won’t need to research date night worthy restaurants. We’ll drive directly to 531 Liberty Cafe.

WOW!...Just Wow!! The first time I went I had the Bacon Jam Burger and was extremely impressed..so much so that I went back 2 weeks later! The second time I had the Baja Turkey Burger, which was also tasty, but I personally the preferred the flavors of the Bacon Jam! Staff was super friendly, even though they are super busy. Highly recommend!!

Really nice atmosphere and customer service. I would def recommend it for a drink (great beer selection) and an appetizer or salad.

Some of their dishes are great, the shrimp pasta, lots of delicious salads.

However there have been a few things I’ve tried that were so salty they were inedible. The ramen was awful - so salty I couldn’t eat anything, the flavour of the meet was good but it was made with some type of pasta noodle.

I’ve been trying new items every visit I make. My first visit I had the Reuben sandwich and it was phenomenal. Very savory and mouth watering. The fries were really yummy too but could not eat it all after the nice portion sandwich. For my second visit i had the muffalini and it was so delicious! The little bits of olives were the right size to have a very balanced sandwich. The side salad was delicious as well. I just hoped they would have honey mustard.
The only critique that I have is for the staff to be more welcoming. I had lunch after the lunch rush. I was not presented with a “hello” or “welcome” it was just awkward silence. The owner was there as well. I do not want anyone to ever get the impression (no matter if your business is doing good or bad) to act like one Cannot be polite because your patrons are the one that makes the business stay in business. Therefore a little southern hospitality should not be a problem.
Also I do have to admit that the staff worked and picked up everything and did not speak so they must be well disciplined.

The atmosphere is great and the food is fantastic. I have never had a disappointing meal nor service there . All around great restaurant. Bacon Jam Burger is a personal favorite
