Cafe Du Monde Covington

The young man who took our order seemed a little different. It was as though he didn't really want to take our order and stare at us with a weird look on his face

Took my nephew and best friend for their first beignets! Always love this place. Coffee, hot chocolate or chocolate milk- you can't go wrong.

I went there with my daughter for breakfast. The service was definitely lacking something that good service has.
There was an man (employee) slouching around in the dining area wiping tables and complaining about the noise of the children. Their noise was not that bad, and they were sitting outside!
What really irked me is that our beignets were cold, not even a little bit warm.
The names Cafe Du Monde and beignet are icons in this part of our state and I was frustrated to see how this particular establishment berated those icons with their "don't care" attitude.
There was only one other person dining in, and I can see why there weren't others.
I'll just make my own beignets the next time I want some.

Almost all Cafe du Monde locations are great. In particular tonight, we heard the lady in the back telling the coworker to not serve cold beignets. Ours were hot along with the coffee. Coffee is always scalding hot, which is good as far as I'm concerned. You can let it cool if you want. Visitors should know that the Cafe du Monde flavor is better than that of other beignets.

Passing through Louisiana but did not want to drive to New Orleans just for beignets. Found this branch off of I-12 in Coventington

Great surprise that we found this gem outside of NOLA on out way back to Texas. Hot, fresh, and perfectly powdered!

Only did the drive thru for my very first taste of the beignets and coffee from this famous company. The young man helping me in the drive thru window was so awesome! Took a while to make my large order fresh but he kept coming to the window to check on us. Food was great and I'll definitely be back.

Nothing beats freshly made, warm beignets!! Great detour when trekking from FL to TX. (Or vise versa 😊 Friendly crew!

Not like the original. Grew up with the stuff. The beignets are half the size when we were kids
