Shade Tree Cafe

First time going, last time going. The waitress that worked Friday after noon. Greeted us with what do you want, then turned around to argue with her staff in the ktichen about how she was, “Already on it.” She turned around rolling her eyes. After that she told us if we wanted to eat we would have to get the special or wait half and hour I replied no thanks I’m in a time crunch and she just kind of looked at me stupid like she couldn’t believe I was leaving and she started to look at my grandmother in a very rude way. And we left, and never return. The food looked good. But the service was more than awful. If she treated the other customers like she did us she will lose a lot of business for the restraunt. First impressions are very important, and the staffs was very horrible. The only reason they are getting a one star rating is because I have to put a star to post this. 0/10 Will never return.

Absolutely the best shrimp Po Boy you've ever had. Unfortunately for me I can't get away from it!! It's my go-to even though the rest of the menu is incredible. I'll have to work on that

A real gem of a place with a cool, calm atmosphere, and chefs daily .. there really isn't another place to compare it to... I will say, don't let the "to go" style Styrofoam boxes confuse your taste buds.. the food is truly quite good.. though be prepared to pay for the unique atmosphere. $$$

They best place in all of Lafayette. Small, peaceful environment, and the best Cajun food you will ever eat. The owner will remember your name after the first couple of times there! When I call to place my order, the ladies on the phone greet me and say "hello Dustin, you want your regular?" It's amazing how they remember me, with all the customers that come and go. This place makes you feel like your at home, and the staff makes you feel like family. Best place to eat by far. 10 out 10, by far a 5 star restaurant

Hands down some of the best food in the state . not a big dessert fan but i haven't had anything over I didn't love . they have a wonderful seating area under a massive live oak which is why its called shade tree . you can also bring your own ice chest for drinks and wine glasses can be provided by staff.

The ambiance and food are fantastic !!! If you’re looking for a nice place with exceptional food in the Broussard area, this is where you need to be !!!

Had a crab burger that defies a description that adequately reflects the absolute flavor explosion experienced.

Throughout all the years I've lived in and around Broussard the quality of Shade Tree Cafe's food has never disappointed. It's simply a place that you NEED to try at least once, and then you'll be coming back to try everything else on the menu. Call ahead of time! They are very popular, with good reason.

Definitely need to try this place .so for the best food . How can I explain this place,you sit outside under these big oak trees. They have small birds playing around. A little pond with beautiful fish. You can also bring blanket and sit under tree. Love this place

Hands down the best food in all of Acadiana. Not oversalted like most of the "Cajun food" down here. Service is excellent.
