The nicest coffee I found in Baton Rouge - also a friendly, light and airy space to meet your friends. The staff make a great team.

Light House was a phenomenal local coffee shop for its first few years of existence. Unfortunately its beacon doesn’t burn quite as bright anymore. Multiple subpar experiences recently. Perhaps it’s time to focus on atmosphere, serving great drinks, and exceptional service again instead of trying to expand and taking on the challenge of roasting beans.

This place is gorgeous! The decoration is on trend and the atmosphere is welcoming with a ton of natural light. Great for an all day study session. It’s really great to have a locally-owned non-chain coffee shop in this part of town finally! They have a conference room you can reserve to use and lots of seating indoor and out. There are pastries and biscotti to eat and tasty sounding gourmet toast with toppings like goat cheese and vinegar or avocado and jalapeño. I have tried the pour over coffee and I really enjoyed it! It was served on a cute platter with a carafe with a refill on it. The subtle fruity flavors of the coffee came through very nicely and was delicious both black and with cream and sugar.

There is dine in available now.
Plenty of parking.
This is a really cute coffee shop. Open, plenty of seating, a lot of outlets at the large table near the front. The lighting is great.
The staff is friendly.
I ordered the regular drip coffee. It tastes incredible. It also comes with two free refills and the price - only $2 and change. My girlfriend ordered the latte. It’s delectable. Perfectly made.
We also both ordered the avocado toast. The presentation and taste both excellent! It came with a small aide salad as well. Dressed perfect with a balsamic dressing. Made me want to dive right in. In addition, they have wooden forks instead of plastic. I love that.
This is a local gem. I would return every and any time to read, study, casual coffee dates.

An exceptional addition to the Baton Rouge coffee scene. Not only serving up delicious coffee and baked goods, but serving the local community by providing employment for refugees. Light House Coffee also supports global and local organizations that have a mission to promote human rights. The retail area within the coffee shop has candles, jewelry, baskets, and more made by artisans worldwide. I can't recommend this place enough!

Knowledgeable and friendly staff who run a clean and organized establishment.
My french press was served plunger up with a timer, allowing me to perfect it’s strength. It was rich and medium bodied with great aroma and smoky and nutty flavors. The carafe actually held enough for two cups; so for 3.25 it was a sweet deal.
My English Breakfast tea was served steeping on a traditional saucer plate. Steeping for six minutes produced an excellent body and flavor.
Finally, the chocolate chip cookie was soft, fresh, and baked to perfection with a dash of sea salt on top. Perfect flavor balance between salty and sweet.
Overall, it was a fantastic experience. I will recommend this place to everyone I know.

If youre ready for some real coffee and done with that burnt, overroasted, two-year-old Starbucks garbage, you won't a better place than Light House. They serve some award-winning Topeca Coffee. The folks there were super-friendly to me and my kids. Best shop on Baton Rouge by far. 👊🏽

Excellent shop! Certainly a contender for the overall best coffee shop experience in the Baton Rouge area. The location has plenty of parking, plenty of seating inside and out, a very inviting atmosphere, knowledgeable and friendly staff, and delicious espresso! Their choice of LaMarzocco makes it the perfect centerpiece for their wide bar space. My cortado was everything I wanted it to be and at a rather reasonable price for a specialty coffee shop. It’s a little far off the highway for my preference, but it was worth the first trip and I’m sure I’ll be finding my way back again.

It was perfect! I got a avocado toast and it was so yummy! There are a lot of young people and I love the cafe! It’s a great spot! I will come again :)

Coffee with a mission that's both creative and tasty. Their menu rotates some when it comes to the specialty drinks which keeps things interesting. They also offer a variety of fair-trade and artisan products to purchase on site. The peanut butter oat bars are very good. Plenty of seating and nice lighting makes this seem like a nice place to get work done!
