North Lime Coffee & Donuts - Clays Mill

I just ate a regular glazed donut here and it was very yummy! I like the ambience here, and I think the owl logo is cool. To drink I just had a black coffee, which had a little bit of a sour / acidy taste and I wasn't too crazy about it. But I would come back here! (Probably for donuts more than coffee though.)

Had this shop recommended to us by a friend and was not disappointed! The donuts we're amazing as well as the coffee and drink selections. If you like funnel cakes, also try their funnel cake donuts; they're amazing!

Very cutesy place with delicious special donuts each weekend when I stop by. Make sure you get them before they sell out though because they’re literal hot cakes!

I live within a half mile of this place and I have to seriously pace myself when it comes to how often I stop in. One of my favorite local shops in Lexington and everything is delicious, no matter food or beverage!

Usually I just stop in for coffee or a latte, but the donuts are to die for. And I never use the phrase "to die for" because I think it's absurd, so that should tell you something.

NLCD hack: take your donuts home and put them in the microwave for roughly 8 seconds. You'll thank me later. Seriously, you'll grab your phone, come back to this review and click the thumbs up.

Also, the staff is always wonderful, even at 6am. The inside of the shop is very cozy, featuring new local art on a rotating basis.

Speedy, delicious, and great Covid protocol. Got the blueberry glazed, cinnamon and sugar, a cinnamon roll, and the PB filled (not pictured, RIP). Each one was great!

If you want doughnuts in Lexington this is the place to go. Always an interesting variety. Here is their Halloween offering. Something to do with slime. Good coffee to go with that doughnut. Agent Cooper would be most elated!

First time at North Lime. Great service. Doughnuts are different from most as they are heavy but tasted great! Had the chocolate iced with a plain cup of coffee. They have all the fancy stuff but I’m a sugar/cream in regular coffee girl.
The lighting is wrong as there were spots that shined right in your eyes. My husband was very uncomfortable.

Never again will I go to Starbucks. As a mail carrier I NEED coffee, and having found a place with such a local, cute, eclectic vibe where the employees remember my name guarantees a good start to my work day. The drinks are amazing, and the donuts are to die for! With new flavors all the time, you never get bored. Having said this, they could serve me literal trash and sewer water, and I’d still go back because they’re that nice.
