One of the better coffee shops in town. It's a Starbucks, in a bookstore.
Nice place to buy a hot cup, and peruse your favorite book. And unlike most Starbucks, it has a fair amount of comfortable seating.
And unlike the World cup, or the blackbird, it hasn't evolved into a working daycare center full of children, who can't be "exposed" to adult themes or language.

Pleasant store with large selection. Checking out took about 20 minutes but otherwise a good spot for books and unique gifts.

A lovely place to be a bookworm.

A comfortable and quiet bookstore that’s more akin to a library. Very chill atmosphere, and Starbucks coffee at the Cafe, located within the store. The aroma of coffee and books intermingling is perfect bliss for any avid reader in Topeka.

The staff & environment are always pleasant and welcoming. Smiles all around, no matter the day. Whenever I have a book-related question, there is a employee close by, with an educated answer.

In addition to books, this B&N sells: children’s toys, board games, Blu-rays/CDs, journals, various gifts and art supplies.

The membership club gets you 10% of everything (including coffee) in-store and online, plus free shipping for online orders.

Support your brick and mortar bookstores, and don’t let Amazon take this exceptional business away from us. ♥️

I'm a fan of the B&N in Wichita but I can't say I'm too fond of this location. They have a variety of books and a bunch of deals every day, which is great. On the other hand the staff seem rather picky about the customers they smile at. One second they're happy to help and the next they're practically rolling their eyes - this isn't everyone, but I frequent this location around the same time of day and there are very particular staff members that I try to avoid. Also I'm underwhelmed by their selection in the Arts department (strictly speaking on behalf of their drawing books). I went in with a list of 18 very well known and very respected books/authors and not a single one was in the store. They also lack guides to help understand things like Photoshop and Corel, or anything you might use for conceptual work; however, if you need help with Windows or Microsoft, you've found the perfect store... just pay no mind to the price. This is definitely a store geared towards a younger audience but I give them props for keeping up with their selections in history and politics.
Now, with that being said, their online store offers just about everything and is worth checking out.

Very disappointed they have taken the bargain tables away. I will not be back as I still can go to local library for free. Love my own books but can't afford 25- for books every time I want new book.

Barnes and Noble is a great place to get gifts, the have a wonderful selection of books, puzzles, gifts for kids. It is my first stop for birthdays! 5 Stars.

The Cafe has a variety of delicious treats, the book selection is wide and they will order it if they don't have it, the staff is helpful, and the cozy chairs sprinkled here and there invite reading. The children's area is always a hit with the little ones. Barnes and Noble is a fun, relaxing way to spend an afternoon!

Took my sin to get someone a birthday present. We hadn't been for a long time. He loved it. Could decide which books to get.

I needed two books as gifts and quickly found one on a display as I entered the first door. Lucky me. I had to get help from an employee to find the second. She immediately dropped what she was doing and located the book for me. I didn't know the category so she had to look it up and she walked me to it. I also needed a hard to find specialty calendar and found it there also.

They had their typical one person at the checkout area but it went quickly.

There was a lady by the front door who was doing gift wrapping if I needed it. I normally like to browse but I didn't have the time. I was pleased that I could get in and out during my lunch hour.

Perfect place to buy a book. Great selection and great staff. Fun for people of all ages. Adults and children alike are sure to find something they'll love. I won't forget the amazing experiences I've had there.
