Filling Station Coffee -Overland Park

I'm disappointed in where this place is going. They used to have a great variety of tasty pastries, but now that they've switched their supplier I can no longer find anything I would be interested in eating. Despite this, I kept going because I love their juice and sandwiches. Unfortunately, they will no longer be serving sandwiches, which is a huge bummer. To add to this, I carried my 11 lb dog in my arms today on a walk so I could grab some juice. This is something I've done before without problem and I always felt they were a pet friendly place given that they have a container of dog treats on the counter. Today the barista informed me that dogs are not allowed inside. I get it - I just wish they would've said something earlier (or had a sign on their door) or that they had something outside to tie her leash to if they want me to leave her outside. Guess I won't be stopping here on my walk anymore.

Good coffee friendly staff. One of our beverages was way to hot, when one of us asked for some ice to cool it down they quickly produced a small cup of ice and a cup of ice water to help with possibly burned taste buds. We will go back when we are in the area!!

Edit: may 7th 2016... Different person behind the counter (male), I asked if he knew how to make a flat white, he said sure, it's just a latte.... I said thanks and I left. No coffee today.
First visit here...I'll never drink another Starbucks flat white. The staff here is so cool, very dangerous that they make such good coffee. Good coffee today.

Different person behind the counter (female)...So this is edited from my first visit, when I visit an establishment for food or drink, I count on being able to get the same products every time! Its pretty dumb that I have to wait for the manager to be there to get the coffee I want. The fact that not everyone knows how to make a flat white is beyond me. This is gonna cut into my visitations and the money I give this place.... Bummer.. No coffee today.

I love that we can walk to this great little coffee shop from our new place. I've always loved Filling Station, but now it's my local spot. :) We will definitely be back soon!

Love this place! Eclectic with stunning scones and goooood coffee. The almond milk latte is perfect. The staff is kind. Not just friendly, but kind and engaging. A good morning place.

Great coffee! Great baristas! Parking is tight but totally worth it! We're always in and out! The employees are amazing when it comes to helping the kids pick out something special to drink!

Been here a handful of times. Only have ordered drip coffee. But baristas are nice, space is neat, good amount of seating, and it has a relaxing vibe. Good place to meet or hang out solo.

Drip coffee took a little getting used to. Had a kind of funky tang on the first several sips. But like beer, got better the more you drank. The staff seemed perpetually bummed, but the overall vibe was interesting. Pastries looked yummo but I didn't try.

Excellent cup of coffee & pastries too! Staff is the best part though very accommodating and they make you want to go back! Ingenious on making an old gas station into a coffee hangout.
