Always great food for breakfast and lunch. Usually a wait, but always worth it!

Nothing beats the smell of biscuits and gravy in the morning! The food and service are good. There is nothing better than sitting at a family-style table while engaging in great conversation. If that sounds good to you, this is the brunch restaurant for you because brunch is always a good idea!

The roost breakfast is amazing. Their vegetarian mushroom biscuits and gravy has become my all time favorite breakfast food. There will be a long wait if you go during brunch time on a weekend so plan on waiting for at least an hour but it is so worth it!!

Excellent service and fantastic food. I had the chorizo and egg breakfast with a slice of french toast, the slice was HUGE. Definitely will be coming back.

The food is great but we called for a carry out order and they told us it would be 25-35 minutes. We waited around for an hour and finally just went to see if it was ready and it had been. Food was cold by then, not sure why they don’t give you a call or text to let you know the food is ready.

Great spot for breakfast! Would've given 5 stars had we not had to wait an hour for our table. They could definitely use a bigger location! Service was also a bit behind due to the large crowd, but our food was certainly worth the wait! Everything was excellent. I ordered the eggs Benedict- which was a tough decision because everything on the menu looked really tasty! Portion sizes are smaller in comparison to many other breakfast joints, but are the perfect amount of food! Overall, I highly recommend The Roost. If you have some time to spare or can make it here on a weekday morning it's worth a stop!

Ate here for brunch Saturday and I loved it. Waitress was super cool and friendly. My breakfast Sammy was awesome and the cinnamon roll was delicious! Good coffee too. My only complaint was that it was super crowded, but that's because it's so good everyone wants in!!!

Yummy breakfast choices! I had The Kansan, which is a standard egg/bacon/toast/potatoes combo. The eggs were made perfect, and the apple butter was excellent. Others at the table had espresso type drinks, and they were noticeably better than the big chains’ versions. Service is rumored to be slow here, but we didn’t experience any such problem. In fact, server was above average in efficiency and kindness. They even have modest bar service, in case you are in need of something stronger than espresso or OJ!

The food was fresh, delicious and served quickly and with kindness. The staff was pleasant and helpful for our first visit to this local haute. An immediate fav in Lawrence! The house made treats are something special 😋
