let’s just start off by saying they dont have any roast beef poboys.
let’s end by saying the service is actually your own (get your own water and to go boxes) and … honestly - the fried okra aint that great.

Creole Gumbo was a nice surprise. Hushpuppies were the best! Loved the pumpkin cake, too. Small eatery big on everything service!!!

The jambalaya and the fried okra were wonderful.. But the hush puppies are the best I've ever eaten and are just out of this world.

Absolutely incredible sandwiches and delicious sides! I had the fried chicken po boy, Cajun fries, and hush puppies! All were very fresh and delicious. For as much food as you get, it's also very inexpensive!

My favorite in Lawrence. Great people, even better food if you can get better! Love it!

My brother and I came to Lawrence for the day and stopped here for a quick bite and wanted some flavor close to our home. The bread had the perfect crunch and the catfish batter was spot on.
I didn't realize that you are not allowed to eat on the patio and one of the staff members came out and politely alerted us.
***Head's up if you're not from the area, this is a take-out only place for now, but I will say, we look forward to coming back whenever we are back in town.***

The Hoagy bun for the shrimp po boy was the highlight. I should have paid $3 more for a larger portion of meat to be the proper ratio as not every bite had a bite of shrimp. The hush puppies were delicious and a larger size than most. I also had to try the wasabi deviled eggs which I would rate just okay, could have had a little more flavor. The seating is very limited and is also located where you have to place your order. That's probably why I saw a lot of people placing orders to go.

Stopped in on a Saturday night for my first visit about 8. First impressions: the location was a bit hard to find. The inside was small but, inviting in the way you would feel walking into a home party. Seating/waiting area inside was really small. Much more seating outside. The outside area had a nice back porch vibe to it.
The food was good. The po boy sauce was ridiculously good. Was in the mood for a big fat messy po boy but, wound up ordering a shrimp po boy. While good, it was mostly bread. Shrimp in general costs more so the portion given was smaller. Did not really fill me up but was good none-the-less. Wound up ordering a bowl of gumbo. The gumbo had a ton of meat and was tasty. The only dig on it was the fact it had cooked so long, all the ingredients tasted the same. The sausage tasted the same as the chicken, which tasted like the veggies.
The staff was really nice, helpful and attentive.
A nice laid back vibe and a cozy back porch feel to it.
I'd give it another go and try a sandwich a little less dainty. Don't miss the wall of hot sauce!

Amazing food. Got the fried chicken Po' Boy, Cajun fries, and hush puppies. All excellent! The Po' boy sauce made everything better.

Went here for dinner with friends. Delicious food, we all enjoyed our meals and it is very reasonably priced. I had a Reuben Sandwich and Beans & Rice. Good portions.
