Global Cafe

This meticulously decorated and down to earth restaurant serves home cooked southwest and caribe inspired meals that not only satiate the desires of the breakfast and lunch crowd, additionally, creates masterful vegan dishes. The coffee drinks are mind blowing. I cannot wait to grab break with our son on our next parents weekend. Delicious!

Very laid back atmosphere with amazing food. The Samoa coffee was amazing! I would absolutely come back here next time I’m in Lawrence.

We are from out of town and we’re told about your restaurant so this morning we thought we would try it. We walked into the restaurant and were greeted by no one which was fine and wrote our name on the list and went and stood by the bar and thought we would get a drink why we waited. The person behind the bar didn’t say one word to us. Three people got up from the bar so we sat in the seats, mind you plates and stuff still all in front of us which was still fine at this point. A table offered us to sit at a table they had the same lady from behind the bar who failed to recognize us for now 10mins walks over and says no you guys can sit here so we proceed to sit at the bar and asked if we could sit there and she said yes. Then instead of cleaning up the plates in front of us still she starts cleaning off this table that she said she was closing. At the point we are still not acknowledged maybe going on 20 minutes now. I have been in the restaurant industry for 10 years and this was by far one of the worse experiences I have ever experienced! We left and thank the lady for her amazing customer service. I will never give this restaurant another try!

Been visiting Global Cafe for years. Food is always very good. The salsa is outrageous- best salsa around if you ask me. Service is not the best- Help seems a bit put out by customer requests. Immaculate appearance- clean and fresh feel, making it a great atmosphere.

Global Cafe? My son suggested that I try it. My wife and I enjoyed the hospitality of Manoj and Raj on my first visit to thier Indian cuisine cafe. I liked the price of thier Buffet, the selection and the taste of the foods. It will be a place that will be used as one of my favorite lunch stops in Lawrence.

If you haver never tried the Global Cafe you are truly missing out. Everything is made fresh and full of flavor. Daily specials, but you better get most of them early because once it's gone that's it. Plenty of variety to choose from. Also have vegan options. Thrower and staff are awesome.

We’re from out of town and were planning to eat here. As we were walking up we watched the owner refuse to serve a party with a wheelchair user on the patio. (The entrance isn’t accessible.) She was very curt and blamed her poor service on being short staffed. We went somewhere else.

A fresh take on breakfast. It's always my go to answer when someone asks where to get breakfast. Everyone I've taken here has remarked how good the food is without being prompted. Very rarely has there been a wait time to get seated.

Service was great, but our food needed a bit more seasoning... first time back since the remodel and wasn't super impressed. Definitely willing to try again though, because the food was wonderful before the revamp!

So I got the pancakes, and then I added straw berries for a dollar extra. I was so excited to see all of the delicious strawberries on top of my pancake.... but when the waitress brought me my plate I was greeted with what looked like just ONE strawberry cut up and sprinkled on top. I just shrugged and started to eat it... but then I took a bite. THEY PUT STRAWBERRIES IN THE PANCAKES!!! It was such a surprise!! 10/10 I love this place!
