Global Cafe

The food here was good. I had the Carnivore omelet and a thi chi latte. Staff were all very nice. It's a good place to eat, but I'm not a huge breakfast food fan and it didn't blow my socks off or anything. If you're wondering if you should try it, do so, it's definitely worth trying.

Hands down the worst food in Lawrence run by a manager with a bad attitude to match. The meals I tried were grossly under seasoned and made with low quality ingredients nearing inedible. I was unhappy with my initial meal (the New Mexican Enchiladas which had virtually no cheese, were colder than room temperature, and made with frozen fajita chicken) and had barely touched it so my waitress asked if she could get me something different. I went with the Global Quesadilla which was drowned in a pool of what they claim is “green chile sauce” and I picked around what I could because I was hungry (see the photo of slop attached for reference). When I went to pay, the manager tried to charge me for the meal I sent back in addition to the replacement meal and argued with me about why I felt it was inappropriate to expect a customer to pay for a dish they sent back. She passive aggressively said “I guess I’ll just ring it up as a donation meal” as if I was robbing the homeless for refusing to pay for a meal I didn’t eat. Seriously skip this place if you expect positive customer service and a half decent meal.

I love Global! The food is always top notch, the green chile is fire (literally) and the coffee is great. The people are just as amazing. The owners (Kate and Raf) are so nice and April is so friendly. You can tell they really care about what they do and the people in and outside of the restaurant. My favorite restaurant in LFK.

The food was great! We went for mother day- so it was understandably busy but I did feel it took strangley long for anyone to just come take our order or ask if we wanted anything to drink etc. Around 15 minutes to be acknowledged. But, we loved the staff and food enough to not really mind. If you have time on your hands, thus is the way to go!

This place is the best. If you want Indian food, good service and friendly smiles this is the place! Everyone was welcoming, very nice and fun to talk to! I recommend this place for anyone who wants a good sit down place to enjoy a good meal with their friends!

Had the smoked salmon scrambled eggs and it was excellent. Highly recommend.

Excellent food and excellent customer service! Mimosh (sorry I don’t know how to spell your name!) recommended a dish for us and made it spicy. It was delicious and filling. Got to the point that I had to slow down on rice and naan to finish my curry. We will definitely be back!

Maybe this goes without saying, but if you like spicy Indian food don’t do the buffet, order of the menu.

We were super lucky to find this place! We were driving through Lawrence for the first time and in great need of coffee. We had the Pecan Delight Iced Latte and the French Toast Iced Latte. So, so delicious!! And coffee iced cubes even. Amazing!!

The food was very very good and it did not disappoint me at all. I had a breakfast burrito and an Irish Coffee.

The staff is friendly and helpful if you are unsure of what you might want to eat. All of their food looks good, what I had tasted good and I look forward to a few more meals there :)

I’ve eaten here before, but today the service (wait staff) was the absolute worst! My pick up order was taken and the waitress just shrugged her shoulders like “Oh Well.” I can make mediocre Latin food at home that tastes far better.
