Woods Supermarket & Deli

I love Woods! We are so blessed to have a full service supermarket like this so close. Kent the manager/owner has gone out of his way to get things I requested on more than one occasion.

Locally owned and great to the community. Very helpful, always welcoming, short wait in lines, need something not on the shelf. They will order it. And good prices

My Aunt & Cousin lives in Pocahontas and I ALWAYS come to this store when I'm in town. I think Pochy is such an adorable small town. This grocery store is absolutely the best! I wish this same owners would open a store in Odebolt. *hint 😉 The owners are so friendly, the staff is always polite & helpful, the store is clean, they offer a big selection for a small town. MOST of all I love their prices. I feel their prices beat out HyVee 80% or more of the time, for that 20% they might not I would prefer to give this independent grocer my business any day over Hyvee. A store that large should not be higher priced on a majority of their items. But at least HyVee is still far better than Walmart. I don't care what I have to pay extra anywhere, Walmart is just about the last store I will give my business to. I hope the citizens of Pocahontas realize how lucky they are and continue to support Woods Supermarket. Trust me a we lost our small town grocery store 5 yrs ago and it makes me upset to think that a rich farming local community did not support it enough to stay in business. You can't imagine how inconvenient it is not to have a grocery store in town or have the nearest a 35 min round trip. I feel for the elderly who can not drive out of town, I can't imagine how they get by & get their food. It really is heartbreaking to think of this.

Family owned store in Pocahontas Iowa. Very clean and well maintained by the owners. Don't waste your time driving out of town to shop at the big chain stores when you can get everything you need right here at home.

Everyone is very friendly and super helpful here. It's a great store that has pretty much everything you need.

Decent selection, prices are elevated but that is understandable as the sole grocer in a small town. Employees are friendly and remembered me after my 1st trip!
