Smokey Row Coffee

Great location. One of the smaller locations of Smokey Rows in the Des Moines Metro area, but big enough to find a place to sit and work on your laptop or to meet up with friends. Same drink menu as other locations with the same excellent flavors and quality for both drinks and food.
It is connected to a Hy-Vee Fast & Fresh.
Update: went back about 5 days after my original visit and it was the same staff working as the first time. They all recognized me and treated me as a friend. Great customer service. Will definitely be back again.

Mocha freeze was lacking some chocolate flavor. It was still good. Love the store.

Three people working, no other customers, took 15 minutes before they pulled themselves away from their chat to start making our drinks. One drink was terrible. The other tasted good, but was super hot instead of kids temp as ordered. Staff was friendly and atmosphere was okay. No reason to come back here.

We love the staff here! Different members of our team have spent lots of time in this space, we appreciate the amount of seating and the friendliness of the baristas!

Skip the burgers if you’re thinking of trying them. Saddest things I’ve ever seen. Dry and no flavor. They give you a tiny piece of bacon and cold cheese.

Great local coffee chain with fun and courteous employees. Lots of drink options, breakfast and lunch options, and ice cream! There's a ton of various seating options too for small groups or one on one meetings. Free WiFi and even a fireplace to relax by!

Been there twice since opening, it’s a nice spot to go in and have coffee or food. I would suggest warmer coffee drinks (they were luke warm today) but other than that it was good. Raspberry chai is my new go-to! Staff is friendly. I’m happy there is another coffee spot in Grimes to switch things up.

So happy to have a Smokey Row location in Grimes! I always love my lattes and chais here. So many flavors to choose from! I'm sure I will be a fairly frequent customer. :)

Beautiful layout and spacious for lots of people in a small footprint. They designed it with people studying in mind, as almost every seating area had access to both power plugs and USB ports. There were a variety of seating options from booths to low-top or high-top tables to chairs/couch by the fireplace. The menu looked like it was the full menu from other locations. I had a Denver Sandwich and Nitro Cold Brew and both were delicious! Looking forward to having meetings here. I'll add pictures the next time I stop in!

Staff were nice, but I’ve never been handed a pink iced latte. Unfortunately after two sips this got thrown in the trash. Love the original location, but this location definitely isn’t at the same quality by far!
