Visited town for the weekend and really enjoyed this place. Delicious coffee and food, and plenty of outdoor gear to look at/buy. Friendly people, and one of the few places here that's open on Sunday!
Great coffee and conversation! Mike the owner roasts his own beans. I went there for the coffee but it was fun to browse the camping and outdoor gear, too. Mike and Kathleen were knowledgeable and happy to answer questions but seemed just as happy to let me browse at my leisure. Love this place!
They have great coffee drinks, smoothies and food. Have some certified organic stuff, hand thrown mugs. All kinds of equipment to brew your own coffee at home. They sell bicycles and kayaks. Honestly they have a little bit of everything.
Great food, coffee, and friendly help for a visitor. Was a life safer being able to grab some wool socks because we under estimated how cold we would be camping.
Great breakfast here..but who doesn't like waffles anytime. Mike makes a mean egg sandwich..Coffee and speciality drinks are yummy. Bonus you get Gears Outdoor shopping experience from fishing biking and kayaks / canoes.. So much more!
The coffee might be ok, but the owners are incredibly rude, make misogynistic comments, were publicly rude to their staff, (all this after ONE visit) and have a pretty questionable reputation with other business in town (word travels fast when you're friends with ppl from a small town). Also, really pushy about sales. While looking at a product, the owner, Mike, kept going on and on about how he had this 'un-advertised' sale "going on now!" hoping I'd buy stuff. There was no sale. He just wanted me to buy the product I wasn't even interested in. Just let me shop in peace. It was just really off putting and tacky. I personally would buy your coffee and kayaks anywhere else. Don't say I didn't warn ya. You'll have better luck at the other coffee shop up the street.

Absolutely delicious drinks; the Elkader Fog is the best drink I've ever gotten at a coffee shop
