Horizon Line Coffee

Horizon Line Coffee is my favorite spot in Des Moines. I first came across this shop when I moved to Des Moines and have been a regular ever since. The offer a great seasonal menu that has allowed me to branch out and try new drinks. They also have a wonderful permanent menu with a great selection of classic drink choices. My personal favorites at the shop are Canadian Cold Brew, Blackberry and Star Anise Latte (pictured), and filter. I highly recommend you stop on in to try some drinks and meet the amazing staff :)

seriously the best latte that i've ever had. i don't love the decor or seating, but the staff is super friendly and the coffee is unbelievably good!

Visiting from California while my daughter checks out Drake and their rowing team and we were very pleased to find this place. Coffee is top notch 2nd wave and their honor system returnable glass cups with screw on lids and neoprene cozies made my heart sing. It's an evolution of 70's food co-op culture that isn't stuffy or preachy but is just so righteous.

If you're looking for a coffee shop that is dedicated to reducing their carbon footprint and passionate about crafting one-of-a-kind drinks, you've found it with Horizon Line. All to-go coffee is put in glass, lidded jars and folx can return at their next visit. The rotating seasonal menu is paired with their permanent menu, guaranteeing you'll be drinking something new or tried and true. The atmosphere is minimal and modern, and is a great spot for a one-on-one meeting, friend hang, or study session.

Great coffee, tasty baked goods while they last, good work space and WIFI. Definitely check out the paper menu as it's more extensive than what they show on the wall. Outdoor tables are nice if you want to sit outside with your dog when the weather is nice.

Super friendly people work here! Loved the oat milk in my latte. Only wished they served other size options so I could get a bigger drink!

Their ambience is so so good. The best time to visit if you like less crowd is to be here around 8ish and you can taste one of the best coffees in downtown.

The absolute best coffee roasted locally that's always fresh. I can't accurately put into words how high quality the beans and roast are, but it's fantastic. Additionally they're very eco friendly with their to go packaging which is always nice to see.
