Horizon Line Coffee

Had high expectations- a friend recommended it and the reviews were good. Was not disappointed! The barista that prepared my pour-over also roasts the coffee, so I appreciated that.

Well now I understand why everyone has given 5 stars to this place. Coffee is really good but I also expect that from a coffee shop. What made this better is that they have an amazing atmosphere, with plenty of good vibe and great customer service. What really made it for me is that they don’t do paper or plastic at all. Glass mugs in shop, and if you take it to go they give you a glass jar with a lid. You can drink it whenever and if you bring back the jar, it’s $1 off every coffee you get. Definitely coming again and thankful for a place being environmentally courteous.

Easy on the eyes menu, chill staff and a big open space to consume coffee and do coffee related things that one does in a coffee shop.
The cold brew wasn't bitter when served up black which is a good thing and the latte was creamy with that good flavor you hear about when people talk openly of enjoying a good cup of coffee.

My americano was good and the vibe of the shop was good but I wish the wood benches were more comfortable. I would go back. 👍

We have regularly enjoyed Horizon Line when we are downtown Des Moines. Great downtown location and nice small space. Service is always pleasant and quick. Coffee is nicely roasted and the espresso is also quite good. Some additional outside seating would be a plus if available

Fantastic coffee! My wife is a coffee nerd and normally gets coffee from an even more coffee obsessed friend who roasts his own beans. However, if we run out of beans earlier than expected we come here and have always been very happy with the beans we get. Also, fantastic coffee when we're downtown and looking for a treat. Great coffee, great people, great place!

Such great coffee. Ordered 2 speciality drinks and they were not only beautiful but so so good. Espresso was perfect.

We love the people and the coffee here. I have no idea how they come up with their ever changing and inventive latte flavors. Just great!

Making coffee cool since 2019 (i think 2019). This place is the best - their coffee is legit and if coffees not for you try the sparkling tea. YUM

My group was was minding our own business taking pictures and the workers were making fun of us and laughing at us. 10/10 don’t recommend if you want to feel like you’re not in a judge mental place.
