Impact Coffee

The Slammin’ Salmon waffle sandwich was “one of the best breakfasts I’ve ever had” according to my travel partner. The lattes were fabulous! Unfortunately there were no gluten free food options.

I've been going to Impact Coffee since they were located in the smaller location on Washington. The new location preserves the history of the building while helping to liven up Water Street.

Impact has the smoothest coffee and they have very unique seasonal drinks as well. They offer cocktails, beer, and wine in the evening as well. Their Norwegian Waffles make a great snack and their rotating offer of baked goods always hits the right spot (especially the scones). In their current rotation of seasonal drinks, I would highly recommend the Matcha in Missoula, with oat milk, a silky smooth, wonderfully flavored matcha is the perfect way to start your day. Or if coffee is more your speed, they make a mean pour over.

If you are looking for a nighttime activity to do on a weekend trip to Decorah, there's a good chance you may end up here - from live music to bingo (and trivia on Thursday's), Impact will keep you entertained.

Enjoyed a vanilla latte with oat milk! Perfectly located downtown, large space with plenty of seating options. The staff was very friendly and quick to help. Highly recommend!

Simple menu to read and make a selection. Lots of space and seating areas. Great place to get some work done while getting your caffeine

Most amazing coffee shop we have ever been to. Large main floor, a loft, and another loft above that! Cozy atmosphere, rustic, comfortable.

The best coffee, period. The way they roast the coffee beans makes the taste rich and smooth. I did not like coffee until I had Impact Coffee. Fabulous food as well, and a great coffee house atmosphere. I have moved away but order their beans and have them shipped to me.

Such a nice, spacious cafe with lots of different types of seating options and a friendly staff. My drink was great, and I was all cozied up on the couches upstairs reading for a few hours. Lots of natural lighting, great study/hangout spot. I also bought some good espresso beans from here!

What a treat to find a REAL coffee shop when driving through midwest America on a road trip. The coffee was delicious. The staff very friendly and the space is really modern and inviting. They do offer food (waffles not available when we were there) and they appear to do bar offerings probably later in the day.
Decorah seems to be a really cute and vibrant town and this place seems to add something special.

I loved this cozy coffee house so much!! The Chai latte was the best I have ever had. The waffles were amazing and the environment was friendly. I enjoyed going every morning the 3 days we spent in Decorah. I HIGHLY recommend. 😀
