My sister Elise and I recently traveled from Pagosa Springs, Colorado to the Quad Cities, where we grew up, to visit our parents. Prior to the trip my Chiropractor, friend, and employer, Alissa Albers, a Palmer graduate, told me if I was going back to Davenport, IA I had to take time and go to Cafe d'Marie if it was still there. She assured me their food was excellent and well worth the trip. Finally on our last full day in town we took our parents to lunch there. They had heard of them but had never in their 91 and 84 years in the Quad Cities had the pleasure of dining there. WHAT A GEM! Our experience was wonderful, the food delicious and the eclectic surroundings delightful. Lunching at Cafe d'Marie will now be a tradition whenever we return to the Quad Cities. Thank you Marie and staff for providing such a precious little oasis in the city.

I visited this cafe while I was in town this past weekend and was blown away! Hands down the best mushroom soup I have ever tasted! The paninis were also super delicious and flavorful. I can’t wait to go back!

Absolutely delicious! The staff was friendly, the environment was cozy and the food was incredible. We were seeking GF options and found it here! Nearly all the menu items were GF and the staff was knowledgeable. The GF cinnamon roll was definitely a favorite! Wishing we lived closer to this Cafe. We will surely be back!

Absolutely fantastic. Too many great options to choose from on the menu.

We tried the blueberry quiche, salad with blueberry vinaigrette, and a turkey panini in the cafe. The food was a perfect lunch break for our road trip served by friendly and attentive staff. We took some scones and frappuccinos to go and they were great treats down the road!

My wife and I went there for coffee, lunch, and desert. All was stunning and the atmosphere was chill with jazz music and friendly staff.

Food was stunning, bread pudding is to die for, and we left with a peach/pear smoothie and a jasmine iced tea.

Recommend to every quad citizen

This is a very belated review I'm writing for a visit that my colleague and I made in January. We were on a long and tiring work trip, and stopping here felt like being welcomed into someone's home! We are architectural historians, so we appreciated every historic detail of the interior. The food was also some of the freshest and tastiest we had in Iowa, and the menu was huge. If I'm ever in the area again I will definitely stop by!

I had never been here before, but my mom kept talking about us going during one of my visits home, and we were finally able to make that happen. I was NOT disappointed! We had to wait in line for a table, it WAS Saturday though & toward the end of their serving period, but it was WELL WORTH the wait!!! The staff were not only friendly & welcoming but also fun & willing to joke a little with customers in passing. We were given some kind of frozen drink to try while we waited & I wish I could remember the flavor because it was FABULOUS!!!! The food was great & so filling that I didn't have room for desert, which was a disappointment when I saw the cookies! The building is an older brick building on the outside, but well maintained. The inside decor is fabulous, I was entertained by the variety of things to look at, the wrought iron tables are an amazing touch. The whole place is comfy chic. They serve specialty teas & coffees too...I had an iced tea but again I've forgotten what exactly I ordered but it was wonderful! Mom said her food & specialty coffee was amazing as well. Looking forward to another opportunity to stop in & try out some more fare from this wonderful little place!

Excellent experience! Stopped by for brunch on a Sunday morning; it was busy, but the wait was not long (about 10 minutes). The atmosphere is warm and welcoming.

I ordered the cream of mushroom soup, the artichoke/goat cheese/spinach quiche, a cinnamon roll and a latte. As cliche as it may sound, you can taste the love in each dish. I was especially impressed with the quality and flavor of the cinnamon roll! I'd have posted a photo had I not eaten it so quickly!

The menu offers plenty of options, all of which meld together seamlessly no matter which combination you choose. I would absolutely come here again for any and every future visits to the area!

We loved the food today! The owner is such a sweet lady, she made sure I liked my latte whether it was cold or hot. Definitely took care of my woman and I today. The bacon quiche and blueberry quiche were both delicious and the #17 panini is out of this world!!! We will be back soon🤤
