Lightworks Cafe

Lightworks is LOVELY! The staff is incredibly friendly and easy-going, and they constantly have new and exciting specials to try. I literally can’t keep up with them. I don’t get to Cedar Rapids often, but I always stop here when I do. The coffee is great, and the food is just as delicious as it is beautiful.

The space is also very nice and clean. You can really tell that the people that work there actually care about their business on several different levels. Definitely recommend hanging out here or stopping in for something quick to-go.

Lightworks has great coffee and delicious food. I'm normally a black coffee person but I enjoy trying their monthly special drinks because they come up with fun and interesting flavors. The staff is always kind and the space inviting. They are taking extra safety precautions with Covid that I greatly appreciate.

We needed a place for lunch on our trip from St. Marys, Kansas to Green Bay. This place was great. Food and service fantastic.

Love this place! I went in on a Saturday, early afternoon for coffee beans and a taco. They sell and serve beans from two different roasters (Ruby and Onyx I think). The fish taco was so good! I'll be back many times. They also serve some sandwiches and breakfast items. Friendly staff, pretty space, go visit!

Little hidden gem. Quiet and relaxing. Service with a smile. Will be returning.

Yesterday I had a black garlic Burger and a dirty chai iced... it was wonderful! The servers creating the artistic coffees and relationships in the front and the people creating the artistic mouth watering unique meals in back are incredible. I really don't feel the same going in any other establishment in Cedar Rapids. From the gorgeous smiles, warm, kind, words & great attitudes to the impressive food/drink/service.... no place matches this one. If you are looking for different food this place wake up your taste buds!!! Enjoy!!

Bright, contemporary yet cozy space with seriously good food. I love the exposed brick, and the windows in the spaces where the garage doors used to close. And the food - it's clear that it's prepared with love. I had three different tacos and each was amazing. I will be back.

Hipster type joint for coffee and light meal. I got a fish and shrimp taco, and my wife got a vegan hash. Both tasted good and were prepared well, but were a little light on seasoning. Limited seating space. Definitely a place for sitting and drinking coffee though. Pricing is a wee bit high for food, but reasonable for drinks.

Fantastic beignets and good coffee. Wonderful atmosphere and good service. The only thing that would help, would be if they have a darker roast of coffee. It really is light. Good coffee is hard to find. I actually have a espresso machine at home, so I know what it should taste like.
