Very reasonably priced food and pastries, and everything looks delicious. I've had the club sandwich and egg salad sandwich and both are simple yet satisfying. All of the sweets I've had so far have been very good, especially the almond horn, which is probably one of the best things I've ever eaten.

We get pastries for our Century 21 client visits and they are always a hit! Particularly fond of the Dutch letters, tarts and puff pillows. The soup and sandwich lunch specials are tasty too. Cozy eat in area, and friendly service.

My wife and I got our wedding cake there three years ago and now are semi-regulars. Everyone who works there has been friendly, and now with our new born son it is even more fun to go in and have them say "hi" to him as well.

The other regulars seem to enjoy the place as well. My guess is donuts and not overly strong coffee, unlike most coffee shops have, really set the mood to be friendly, easy going, and a great place to relax.

Proudfully talked some friends who are to be wed soon to get their cake from here... Can't wait for that reception.

Very friendly and nice place to go just to have a donut only place that I could find that taste like when I was a little girl at homes Donuts. They have great sandwiches too and coffee I just wish that they would have better creamer LOL

Had them do a custom birthday cake for my wife... delicious! They also did our wedding cake 10 years ago and my son's birthday cake. I definitely recommend them for any special occasion cake... or even just a doughnut!

Delicious rolls and donuts and they've got the classic huge glass display case. Kids love picking out a roll! Great local business!

Ames staple. Skip the chains for your coffee, donuts, cakes, and pasteries. The Dutch Oven has better prices and quality. We have been going here for years and never had a poor experience. The bird's eye are the best. The Dutch letters are a must. They also have quality breads and cookies to take home to family. They also decorate cakes; birthday and wedding.

A little overpriced.. But about what you expect from a bakery. And the quality is AMAZING. Donuts are way better than Hyvee's. Great apple fritters, great long johns, great bread! Lots of choices.

Such a difference from the Boone location. They'll let you make an order, and then wait until you get there to tell you they don't have what you ordered. They stop selling food in the middle of the day. Very confusing.

Been a big fan of Dutch Oven since I was a kid. So many delicious pastries and tasty things, it's hard to decide. It would be nice if they could get some more parking though.
