The Hub-The Roasterie & Heaping Plato

The Beef-Lamb Shawarma I got from Heaping Plato was pretty dry, but the food selection there is pretty good.

Unfortunately Iowa State made a horrible decision in replacing Caribou Coffee with The Roasterie, however the Hub is still a great place to grab a bite to eat, some coffee, and sit down to study for a bit.

I always take the veggie entré meal. I believe it's one of the best deals in Ames. The tzatziki sauce, harissa, chilli cilantro, and humus toppings are too good with the rice.

Small portions for a place where I'm expecting a heaping plate. I loved the Hub before the renovation. New food is good but you're paying more for less.

I liked the new renovation and the Cafe, but not the food. I got a lamb/beef shawarma from Fala-Full and it was terrible. I have tried Taza food truck's both chicken or beef shawarma and I absolutely loved it

There is great food available: grilled burgers, brats, hot dogs, chicken sandwiches, gyros, a daily meal special, deli sandwiches, 2 daily soups, baked goods, and pre-packaged meals to go. The Hub is busy throughout most of the morning and during lunch, so it is sometimes difficult to find a place to sit but the food line moves very quickly.

Nice food, a little different than the food cart that was there when I was in school.

Great place to do homework or chat. Usually it's packed, so you have to be lucky to get a seat. The food is overpriced and mediocre quality, but hey, it's a University dining center.

It doesnt taste very good, kinda tasteless, the price is okay, but the portion is too small. Should get chipotle if its on campus
