Lockwood Cafe

Pros: Industrial grunge laid back architecture and atmosphere, baristas are amazing and friendly, Greek crepe (the only one I have tried) was delicious. Latte is perfection. Outdoor seating is very eclectic and cool. Free wifi and plenty of electrical outlets inside and some outside. Outside there are tiny tables for the little ones.

Cons: Music genre and loudness is hit or miss-- sometimes quiet and chill, other times loud garage punk rock, at 8am in the morning, sigh.

I’d been in here a couple of years ago and based on what this place used to look like I was nervous. I couldn’t have been more wrong. This place is wonderfully finished and decorated, the drinks are great, and the crepes are next level. Everything is extremely reasonably priced, and there’s lots of comfortable seating options. Check this place out, it’s sure to become a new favorite!

Went with family today and had a great late breakfast. Crepes were excellent. I had an Americano and my wife a latte. Overall perfect place to grab a meal

Amazing coffee and crepes. Beautifully decorated interior in a fun old building. Hidden gem in west Ames. Do yourself a favor and come check it out!

Great atmosphere, amazing food, and friendly people make for an incredible experience. The Cinnamon Apple Crisp Crepe is to die for! I love that they collaborate with other small businesses. Very family friendly place to go!

Coolest vibe in Ames! Highly recommend coming here. It has such unique art work and they clearly are an organization with lots of good will for the environment and other social matters. There are free dog treats too.

So many places to sit, so many drinks to try and so many crepes to get too. This place is a GREAT time. Highly recommend!
