Lots of crepes on the menu (and gluten-free options), good coffee. You may need to wait a bit, but if you're lucky, you can sit outside and see a train!

Had a lovely time. It reminds me of an art colony, jn the best way possible. My sister and I had a kimcheese dosa & a masala dosa, both vegan and gluten free. I had a delicious oat milk raspberry sage latte. Staff was very nice and friendly. Will bring in my dog next time for a treat from their frat jar. Will definitely come back next time I’m in Ames! One thing to note - the building is directly next to the tracks and a train came by several times in the hour we sat outside. Not a bad thing, but just a heads up. Staff were all wearing masks still but do not require masks for patrons.

I love this cafe so much. There are a lot of vegetarian options. There's a community garden and a playground for kids. This cafe has the best vibes.

Food and service was great. Seating was limited at the peak noon time on Sunday. The atmosphere was smoky. We left smelling like the oil used to cook the crepes. Would we go back? Definitely! In nice weather there is outdoor seating and if worse comes to worse, you can get the order to go.

This place is absolutely amazing! Best crepes I've had! The Caprese is by far a solid go to!
The service is always super friendly and helpful. Plus the vibes and atmosphere of Lockwood is really nice.
Plus they have art exhibits and seem to be extremely community driven.

Go support this local cafe and get a Crepe and a Cortado!

I like this place a lot. They have really good crepes, both sweet and savory, and the coffee is good.

The vibe is also pretty chill. It's kind of fun to take an adventure across Ames on Saturday mornings to go eat breakfast/brunch here. Show up early to get a good spot because this place does get very busy.

Funky, chill, casual atmosphere. Super-good folks woring there. Great food (vegetable-based menu) and really, really good coffee. Odd location, but that adds to the charm.

Super crepes, savory and sweet. Gluten sensitive options! Friendly staff.

The crepes and the dosa are perfect. This cafe has a unique, playful ambiance, and it is kid-friendly. This is definitely a hidden jewel in Ames, and we would like to go there again soon. We would love to have more menu options in the near future.

Update: The mango lassi has too much cardamom.

What a cute place and the crepes and coffee were delicious! My dog enjoyed hanging outside on a beautiful day too.
