I walked in here for the first time and immediately loved the atmosphere of the place. The creative paintings on the walls, the cozy arrangements of the furniture, and the relaxed patrol s gave this place the feeling that Starbucks was tying to go for but is too corporate to achieve

Perfect study space WHEN YOU CAN GET A SEAT. Think Tank is the best place to work in the whole place- if you can reserve it, do so. The establishments setting is quitting and friendly. WiFi is not dependable. Food and coffee slightly overpriced, but it's very good. Very friendly and attentive staff. Good environment for meetings, homework sessions, Bible studies, and just generally hanging.

My husband and I just left and when we pulled off we noticed something on our cups.... We are an interracial couple. My cup said we are in this together and my husband's said YOU MATTER!! I've been gone for 20 minutes still holding back tears... The cashier was a sweet young girl but the few words she wrote life changing!! I won't go anywhere else thank you young lady

Amazing service, great menu with a good variety! Sweets and treats delectable, very clean inside and spacious with shaded outside sitting area. My barista was friendly and knowledgeable, she made me feel special. Will stop here again next time I visit terra haute! Thank you!

A quintessential local coffee shop and cafe, unexpectedly found in a small town. Great coffee, lots of tables and booths, wifi, and tasty breakfast, lunch, and dessert items (though with a limited selection) make Java Haute a favorite hangout for college students, faculty, and East-side residents. While there is a drive-through, you must go inside to get the full vibe. Highly recommended.

Great coffee, great atmosphere and great no bake cookies. They have a full menu, but I haven't sampled the food. I am in Terre Haute once a year and I always drop in at Java Haute.

Great place for coffee. Prices are similar to starbucks. I had the mocha turtle. Highly recommend, if you're nearby stop in and grab a latte you'll be glad u did.

To me best place in Terre Haute to get ice coffee. Love their little messages on the cups.

Staff always greets you with a smile! I recently tried the new coffee customers call “Sissy George’s Coffee” and was skeptical at first but probably the best coffee with a “boost” I have ever had! No more Red Bull for me!!!

Prices are a little steep, but the coffee is good. My main peeve with Java Haute is their refusal to come into the 21st century with regard to sustainability. They don't encourage customers to use their own mugs (no discount), don't encourage the use of the Cafe's own ceramic mugs, but instead serve up oodles of drinks in to-go cups to people who then stay in the cafe for hours (& thus could have easily used a reusable mug of some sort). This cafe could do so much more to reduce their garbage footprint. If you go in and sit down, please ask the barista for a for-here mug.
