South Bend Chocolate Cafe

Great stuff, from breakfast items, sandwiches, excellent chocolate creations and good coffee.

Customer service was not good...order taker seemed a bit disgruntled...l guess because we had waited for about 10 minutes and my daughter had to go to the chocolate counter and ask if anyone was working in the cafe....the cashier was nicer but the cook was not the nicest person...and this was during restaurant week! We will go back but not anytime soon...food was good 🙄

It was wonderful, as always, the product, the service, and the atmosphere!

It was a great shopping experience getting something for Mother's Day with my daughter. Love that there's a little play area so we could do that too while we were there.

Went to get food but I was informed the kitchen was already closed due to shot staff. It closed at 6/6:30pm on a Friday night (shop closes at 8pm). There is a convenient going on this weekend down the street so I information the staff. I hope they let their boss know. Was very sad not to eat here and hungry. Maybe tomorrow if the kitchen doesn't close too early. I'll try before 6pm.

Bad and bad. Order the Cobb salad to go. Full of brown lettuce , no bread stick and only one salad dressing. Not worth the over $10 plus a tip. Oh and crying about being understaffed when there where 10 employees working. 4 at the coffee area, and 2 on the grill. Rude staff as well.

I went to order chocolate strawberries. The Lady at the counter was not attentive while I was waiting to place my order. She told me it would take 15 minutes to make and that she would let me know once its ready. I waited over 45 minutes for my chocolate strawberries. When I went to the counter the lady told me that she forgot to make my order. Very poor service and disappointed. Apparently, its a common that they forget to make orders because I ran into someone else that complained about them forgetting their order too.

Went for a special lunch with my kiddos and was very disappointed. The lunch food is insanely overpriced for the quality. Paid $7 for a half a pb&j sandwhich and a tiny bag of chips. The kids play space was also still closed which was understandable but it would have been nice to know before driving from Elkhart. Staff was also pretty rude/aloof. Won’t be going back

If you have a sweet tooth or not this is the place to be. Just the smell alone makes you want to stay all day. Not to mention the awesome people that work and come for coffee. Always positive always amazing. Love you SBCC
