Little Coffee Shop On 231

Random hours that don't align with internet information. I routinely travel to Rensselaer for business and some days they are open and some days they are closed. Don't bother to call because you generally get a voicemail that's full. Coffee is fantastic..., if you can find a time when they are open for business.

Good selection of coffee and made right. I prefer dark roast coffee and they definitely can accommodate. But if you prefer lighter roast,I bet they can handle that too. I was only passing through town when I found this pace but it will definitely be high on my list of places to stop at again whenever I am on my way to or from Indianapolis on I65.

Mark (the owner) is an exemplary human and the coffee is as one would expect, exemplary. My wife, 10 month old and I were traveling from Chicago to Cincinnati and needed something that was not Starbucks. We bought two oat milk lattes and a smoothie. The beans are roasted in house and the flavor was excellent (without sweetener). Needing coffee or not , we will be stopping by 231 as long as the shop stays open. Thanks Mark!

Great little hole in the wall. Passing through driving from Indianapolis to Chicago, and wanted/needed coffee. I didn’t want to stop at a big chain coffee place, so I found this place and tried it. Good coffee, and a nice warm atmosphere, but the best thing about this place, the Owner!

I’ll keep it simple, What a nice person. Very friendly and he really makes an effort to make your drink stand out. I had a dark roast drip coffee and
my daughter had the 49….both very good.

If you are driving to Chicago from Indianapolis or another area south of or going south from Chicago, stop by for a nice experience. Thank you Sir

This place was absolutely wonderful. Way better than a chain coffee house. If you order your coffee for there they have a vast collection of different mugs to serve it in. The guests made us feel like part of their community and struck up conversation with us.

Such a great spot! Loved stopping in Mark's coffeeshop for a bite and some great coffee, not to mention a great conversation. Recommend to anyone in the area.

The drinks at 231 are high quality and prepared professionally. Only natural ingredients are used and they taste great! It's worth going a little out of your way to stop at Little Coffee Shop on 231!

My buddies and I went this morning. So delicious! Such a comfortable atmosphere, incredible espresso, great Italian soda, excellent tea, and everything can be made hot or iced. He had sugar free options and an awesome selection of alternative milks. We will certainly be going back!

Best coffee ever ❤️ and the owners are amazing

Coffee was really good, had white chocolate with strawberry latte. Daughter had a hot Moody Road tea latte, it was excellent! Owners were very helpful and nice.
