The Local Grind

Love this little coffee shop! It's become a Saturday ritual for me to stop by and get some coffee and spend a few hours at the shops on the square. I haven't had anything I don't like. I would much rather pay these lovely ladies a visit for their delicious drinks than Starbucks any day. Even their meal replacement shakes are delicious!

Love this little small town gem! The owner, Emily, is wonderful. When I first tried this coffee shop, I wasn't quite sure what to order, but the staff took the time to ask me what my favorite flavors were, and the drink recommendations they came up with were absolutely fabulous! They have a huge variety of flavors and drink options. My husband and kids love the milkshakes here! You can even text your order in advance. You should definitely check this place out!

Went this past Sunday 5/21/23 food wasn't great service was slow and of course expensive 40. For French toast 🙄

Good coffee and great atmosphere with a friendly and qualified staff.

I love having another coffee shop in town. I've been twice so far, got the mocha both times, it's SO good! Pricing is average, staff has been great. I'll definitely go back many times!

It’s great to have a new local coffee shop!

Passed the shop on the way through Martinsville Indiana. Saw sign and told wife and the open light was on.turnd around to check ✔️ it out. Had a large selection of different coffees. Enjoyed the coffee 😋, the young man was friendly and sociable. We are told that we can purchase gift cards. This is for certain coffee drinkers on our minds. This may become a regular Sunday afternoon stop

Maybe we're just spoiled from being regular customers of Needmore Coffee in Bloomington, but we were very disappointed with the Sticky Toffee Nut Mochas from The Local Grind. They tasted like overly sweetened coffee creamer with a TINY splash of coffee. Very sweet and zero stout! We had to order additional coffee and do our own mixing of 3/4 coffee to 1/4 mocha in order to even drink them. We were a little surprised we were charged for the coffee we literally NEEDED. So, 1 regular sized mocha, 1 large mocha, and 1 shake ended up costing approximately $21. The reason we gave any stars at all was because our son liked his Darth Vader shake. Also, the server was friendly and the shop itself was comfortable, nicely decorated, and appeared to be clean.

I don't know the name of the young man who worked on Sunday Oct 31st - Halloween but he was awesome!!! He asked me my face I've cream and candy bar and then made me the most delicious latte ever!!!

He was friendly, fast and very personable!

I will be back!!!!!

It’s Halloween evening and the place is already closed. My guy, who is 61, disabled, and suffering with a kidney stone, sat down on one of their patio chairs to take a rest on our way back to our car. An employee came out and told us she needed to put the chairs up so we would have to leave. I asked her if he could sit while she put up the other chairs and she said no, that the chairs are for customers only. I told her she just lost two and we left. I would never support an establishment that has no empathy for others. Clearly no clue about what customer service actually looks like. And on a night when the whole community is out enjoying the holiday and being neighborly, they were clearly not!
