Fuel at Five Points

It's always a pleasure to stop into Fuel for a cup of coffee when I'm downtown. Downtown Lafayette has a plethora of coffee shops and this one is excellent. Definitely a place to come and enjoy a casual cup of coffee while reading a book or even working.

Standard coffee house fare for the most part, a few speciality drinks and a decent little food menu.

They have excellent drinks here. I'm often torn between Fuel and Star City when I want a coffee. Fuel has excellent beverages and food for the pricing. Definitely try the "Dirty Ivan" or the "Fuel Jack". I come here often, but it's hard to find seating sometimes due to its popularity.

Great place to stop and get some coffee. They do a very good job with their drinks and I believe they also roast their own beans. Seating space is a little limited inside, but I guess that makes it always feel busy. One of the best parts is that they have a small area for children to play (complete with toys / books / coloring supplies). They even have complimentary Gold Fish pouches for the littles. My 3 year old even asks to go down to the coffee shop sometimes because she likes it so much there.

The Fuel Jack is to die for! Great downtown vibe and there is a small area to keep little kids entertained/out of trouble plus a good sized unisex bathroom with a spacious changing table (and stool under the sink for the kids)!
Family friendly with quirky signage and excellent customer care.

Very cool atmosphere and work environment. The coffee options were also very well rounded. I had an iced Americano and the espresso quality was quite good

This is one of the best coffee shops in Lafayette! The staff is always kind and always remembers what your favorite drinks are. If there is ever a day when you're not sure, they are great at giving suggestions too!

It was about 40 minutes from closing time when I went so I understand if it's the end of a shift and employees are getting tired or something but the guy at the counter did not greet anyone as they walked in, just kind of stares at you until you order, so it's a bit unwelcoming. Ordered a latte, it came out pretty quick but the quality was mediocre at best. Decor is tacky and feels kind of awkwardly pieced together.
For a quick cup of coffee or something to eat it's alright, but personally I dont think I'll visit again

Food is great, coffee is great, but lately the music played inside the shop has been pretty off-putting.

Superlative brown sugar iced latte (Dirty Ivan). Best place in town for cold brew without a doubt. Owner is local and treats her people well. Give them your money!
