Encounter Café

We came to visit from Memphis,TN and have already been to this coffee shop twice in the last few days of our visit. The owners are such lovely people and the atmosphere is very nice and friendly. We loved the turn table that played the records in the back room. The waffles were delicious and a good size. Highly recommended!!

-Delicious Iced Mocha with Chocolate Drizzle (made strong if you want it that way!)
-Amazing Protein Bites were filling enough to count as breakfast
-Quick/Easy in and out before work

A hot Miel and a calzone was my order. Both were fantastic! Love the locally sourced honey from Clark's! The coffee and food are worth your stop, but what is great about Encounter Cafe is it represents everything great about small town America. Friends chatting, people smiling, and solid service oriented owners! Next time, I will sit and stay awhile! Well done!

As a Converse resident, I can't tell you how thrilled I am to have the convenience and quality of an establishment like Encounter Cafe so close. The money I save from not driving to Marion or Kokomo to get a decent coffee nets me an extra for free. Not to mention the 30+ minutes of life I get back from the commute. Cheers Encounter! BTW, vanilla carmel latte is a winner.

Staff was very friendly and really helpful. The muffins were absolutely amazingly delicious! The coffee was superb! Feels very homey, very clean, and just a great atmosphere!

Bicycling through town and were so happy to find this magical place!. Clean, delicious and fresh food and coffee, welcoming people, free WiFi, charging. Everything better than it should be! Would recommend highly and go out of our way to come back!

Converse desperately needed a place like Encounter! Love the coffee, love the treats, love the friendly service and this place is super inviting and so unique!
