Started at Wabash College, the 1832 Brew Espresso Bar has a new location in the Arts and Designs District in Carmel, IN. It is located inside of Sub Zero Nitrogen Ice Cream. The guys that run it’s are incredible and it’s a great addition to this strip of shops. You may not see it until you see it, but once you have finished your meal downtown or if you’re looking for a quick cup of coffee after a treat, this is well worth the trip.

They back up their product for sure! And they know they offer the best. I came in with a competitor’s drink, and let’s just say I happily walked out with an 1832 Brew latte. It was divine!!! Thank you for your service, confidence and amazing coffee

Food (breakfast burrito) and coffee (cold brew) were great! The combo of ice cream parlor Subzero with this Espresso Bar is not a natural fit, I usually would go to an espresso bar to hang out for a while and do some work, but the atmosphere is more encouraging of an eat-and-leave mentality. No WiFi, basic diner chairs and tables. Still a good time, with great service, but I'm just not sure how it would fit my lifestyle if I wanted to go here regularly.

Stopped in here for the first time (used to live in Carmel growing up) and was pleasantly surprised to meet James! In the middle of working hard on numerous door dash/online orders he was such a positive, helpful, kind person. I would come back just to see him! The coffee is great as well for the price but James is what made it even better. PS he deserves a raise ❤️

This coffee shop opened up just within walking distance of my apartment, and it’s become my go-to if I’m not in the mood to make coffee at home. Their specialty coffees are really flavorful and taste great. And anytime I’m looking for a specific type of drink the baristas put in extra time and effort to help me find what I’m looking for.

Me and my fiance went in here with high expectations since we are somewhat espresso enthusiasts and there are exactly zero coffee shops in Carmel which can claim to pull a half decent espresso shot. Too bad it turned out to be a huge letdown. We ordered a cortado and a cappuccino and sadly both of them were absolutely undrinkable and tasted exactly like wet cardboard. We would have definitely returned both the drinks that morning if we were not in a hurry to get to work. My guess is that they either used a bad batch of beans or burned the milk while steaming it. The girl making our drinks was working Day 1 on the job so that might have a part to play in it. But paying $12 for coffee that had to be poured down the drain will make us not want to give this place another "shot".

I stopped by Wednesday morning during my bike ride. I didn't realize they were even a coffee shop until I walked by and saw the sign on the door. Very friendly staff and an excellent latte! Will definitely be back!

Stopped in here on a whim. You might miss it if you’re looking, it’s actually the nitro ice cream shop as well as a coffee shop. Willy hooked me up with an interesting drink. It’s a blue agave coconut iced matcha latte. He has a cool selection of unique beverages as well as your standard coffees if that’s more your jam. Very delicious drink this morning, highly recommend. Also, excellent customer service dealing with my indecisive butt.

A nice little coffee shoppe that serves liquid nitrogen-cooled ice cream as well. I'm not sure where the idea to put coffee together with a subzero ice cream gimmick, but who am I to judge?

Had a regular cortado here. I really appreciated the flavour of the espresso. Staff was very friendly and informative about local places.

Totally surpassed my expectations. SubZero and 1832 have divided the space very well and have separate checkouts so you can get in and get your coffee without a line (which is very needed for a quick caffeine run).

The fella behind the counter provided fantastic service and talked us through the menu! He accurately talked through the roasts tasting notes and made our drinks wonderfully.

Espresso was a robust well-pulled traditional shot that was fantastic solo and in a cappuccino. They provide single to quad shot pulls which is convenient if you like to meter your caffeine. My partner had their iced London Fog which he claimed was the best he’s had with a perfect not-too-sweet balance. Muffin was also delicious and big enough to split between the two of us. Spent $15 for all 3 drinks and the pastry, such a great deal.

We will be back gentlemen, keep doing what you’re doing cause you’re doing it right. Cheers!
