The coffee is dreadful and always burned but I still go anyway because it's such a gorgeous establishment in the best possible location. The outdoor seating overlooks the B-Line and the indoor seating is plentiful and comfortable. There is a nice amount of parking too.

Peaceful atmosphere first thing in the morning. Staff is great and the coffee/pastries are the best! I come in to the shop after a long shift at work so it’s nice to walk into a relaxed setting, not too bright and low key staff.

I ordered a cappuccino to taste the bean and pull ability if the Batista along with the milk age and temp. My first drink was mediocre but subsequent tasting was good. Beautiful drink, slightly scalded milk, finally a decent place for coffee in Bloomington?

Throughout my time at IU I continue to always go back to Hopscotch. Not only do they serve the BEST cold brew in Bloomington, the staff is /always/ kind and friendly, it’s always clean, it’s never TOO busy to find a place to sit. Definitely a safe place that I escape to when the rest of the world is too chaotic.

I'm actually not a coffee drinker, so I appreciate that Hopscotch takes the time to have really good tea and other hot beverages available! Their matcha lattes and hot cider are particularly lovely in the fall/winter and the housemade sodas great in hotter months. They also carry local pastries from Rainbow Bakery, and more importantly, from Piccoli Dolci (cornettos, be still my heart!) Always nice and helpful baristas and a good work atmosphere, though quite crowded at peak times.

Interesting and unique coffee selections (the Thai-iced and Cobra Verdge are not to be missed). Great outdoor seating area, and generally friendly staff. Very quiet, good place to work or study for extended periods. Update: They ditched AT&T for internet in favor of Comcast and the reliablility and speed has improved greatly. :-)

Unique spot with a good view. Beverages and food have been great every time. Staff is friendly and helpful. Prices are good. Great local business to check out. Love the open patio area when the weather is nice.

Great locally-owned coffee place right on the B-Line! Roasted fresh coffee and coffee drinks with a selection of treats as well. Support your Bloomington local businesses!

Essential to an amazing cup of coffee is freshness of the beans. Hopscotch roasts their own, so the chances are good that you're getting one fresh cup of joe. Their baristas are also top notch, so the espresso drinks are on point. The ambience is pleasant. All this adds up to Hopscotch being the best café in Bloomington. But don't tell anyone, it's already hard enough to find a seat.

We went here for some cool and refreshing drinks. We ordered strawberry shrubs — which were supposed to be soda made with real fruit.
We both disliked it, and my friend couldn’t even drink it due to the sourness. It tasted fermented, but overpoweringly, like kombucha. If we’d ordered kombucha, which we would never do, then we might have liked it.
She had a rose beer off tap instead, which was “meh”.
Normally, I do enjoy their coffee drinks, but I would avoid their soda/fermented beverages.
