Schmidt Bakery

The baked goods and donuts are always awesome. However, service is slacking. Why they have started smoothies and latte's with 1 blender is beyond me.
Plus, there are signs on door about social distancing but people don't care. The store was packed. Wish that the workers had some consideration. Schmidt's could lose their license.

We get every year for Cherry Thingalings, it's the best part of Presidents day weekend!

I am in Batesville for work sometimes and I’ve started coming here for cookies and coffee the last couple days. Everything tastes great and the ladies are very friendly.

If you aren't addicted to doughnuts before, you will be after you leave! Home of the "cherry thingaling" each decadent pastry is better than one you've eaten before! Can't get enough & can't put 'em down! No matter what your pastry fix is, stop in here to upgrade to an even more enjoyable sugar rush! Counting the days until cherry thingaling season next February! Yummy!

I've been here twice for the cherry thingalings and they are amazing. Worth an hour drive each way just be sure to stock up as they are once a year. Staff has been very nice and helpful too.

Pumpkin spice donuts were very good. Glad they took credit cards, 'cause i bought a lot! Friendly service too.

I really can't say I like this bakery, since the line of customers was out the door, & the displays we're almost empty. It was national donut day. It wasn't worth my time to wait if I couldn't get what I truly desired.
