It doesn't have the homey warmth that makes for a favorite cafe, but it's a solid place. Bottomless coffee, open at 6am, good wifi, and I love their mission. Great use for the old Dill Pickle space. I'll definitely be back.

I'm beyond disgusted with this cafe! I just walked out of this place not even 5 minutes after walking in. I had experienced the worst customer service. Initially, I was excited to check this place out because I heard great feedback from classmates and my school's staff about their coffee, customer service and the mission of the cafe. As soon as I walked in, I smiled at the barista that was behind the counter and said "Hello." He looked at me and immediately walked away. I placed my jacket on a chair near the counter thinking he would give me a minute before asking me if I needed a recommendation or help. I browsed through the menu and wanted to ask a question so I towards the register. The guy was glued to his coworker that was standing behind the register, looked at me and kept staring without asking if I needed help. I'm so happy I followed my gut and walked out. I cannot believe the ignorance of this man and racist attitude he displayed. I will never go here because I do not appreciate being racially profiled.

I adore this place. I'm only disappointed I didn't find it sooner. As a person who struggles with mental health, this is such an uplifting place to walk into. The staff are kind and the coffee is great. I got a coffee donut that was UH-mazing. Excited to make this a regular stop from now on. I will say, as a short person, the bar is pretty tall so if there aren't any tables available, it's struggle city to climb onto a barchair for me LOL

This coffee bar not only pours a fantastic cup of coffee from Dark Matter, but all proceeds go toward mental health awareness and support. I cannot recommend enough that you come here, enjoy a delicious cup of coffee, and spend your money in a place that truly deserves that honor.

Sip of Hope is an admirable cause, and they continue to do admirable things. It's ok not to be ok.

Love what they stand for! Delicious coffee and fluffy croissants
However, I’ve come towards closing and the staff seem somewhat unfriendly.

Can't go wrong with Dark Matter coffee and I love the artwork inside by various Chicago artists

One of my favorites in this city. The staff is always friendly and accomodating. Super appreciate all the work that is done towards suicide prevention. I even wear one of their pins on my apron at work to spread the word. 10/10!

Glad I found this spot. Unreal how 100% of the proceeds fund mental health education and suicide prevention. Excellent service to our society and great coffee. Great environment for working or hanging out with friends. Never disappointing. Well worth a visit.

First of all, Dark Matter Coffee is amazing, the drinks are delicious and the space is great to be in, with fantastic art. On top of that, all the proceeds support suicide prevention and mental health awareness. How can you not want to stop by every day?
