The 1st question I asked was "do you have any sugar free options" she said no. That was disappointing as a diabetic. They did have Splenda. The place is very spacious. Comfy chairs and long tables. It looked like a lot of people on their laptops and working. The staff was not friendly at all. No welcome in or when I was leaving have a great day. Very mellow chill vibe. My large iced coffee with room to pour my own cream and put my own Splenda in was $5.95. The coffee in my opinion was not my favorite. The person next to me got an apple cider that looked good. I will have to try next time .

Really good.
Their coffee is on the stronger side but a splash or two of simple syrup smooths it out. They have decaf, plant-based milks, candles, roasts to go, large open seating area indoors and outdoors, and a really cool/gritty styled bathroom.
I recommend.

As a seasoned coffee enthusiast, I appreciate the nuances that make a coffee shop stand out, and New Wave did just that. Nestled in a prime location, the ambiance of the cafe is inviting and comfortable, a perfect backdrop for an exceptional coffee experience.

I had the chance to try both the hot and iced lavender coffees. The hot lavender was a delightful blend, the lavender notes complementing the coffee in a symphony of flavors that was truly memorable.

However, the iced version fell a bit short of expectations. It seemed the delicate balance was skewed by an overuse of lavender syrup, overpowering the other flavors and leaving a rather heavy taste.

Despite this, New Wave's overall experience, combined with its reasonable pricing and excellent location, earns it a solid 4 stars. It's a destination that any discerning coffee lover should consider for their next caffeine fix.

Cool vibe, good coffee, staff is nice. I love that music volume is not too loud and everyone are pretty quite.

This place is fun for people watching. They're semi-serious about their coffee, though they're more about creating a mind-bendingly hipster vibe rather than crafting quality brew. Tons of seating; you'll often see legions of people working there. I'd say people talking to one another are doubled by people silently and intensely working on laptops. Baristas are friendly as heck--haven't met a stuffy one yet.

Funky, spacious, artsy spot. Epitomizes the Logan Square vibe. Coffee from Half-Wit Roasters. Open later than most other coffee spots in the neighborhood. Have a printer you can use to scan and fax as well.

This is a very chill place to get work done. The space is expansive, outlets are plentiful as it's the sunlight and wifi is fast. The staff is very friendly and helpful and food looks good but pastries are not special or made in house. During the cold months make sure to bring and extra layer or two because the doors on opposite ends of this corner spot make for a seriously frigid wind tunnel!

Will never understand why you don’t order more bagels on farmers market days. Why are you out by 11am??

Update 5/17/23 - they have begun carrying way more bagels. Raised to 5 stars

Super chill and spacious coffee shop and fits the area very well. The service was great and their lattes were pretty good. Defiantly a fan of this place and will be adding it to my ever expanding collections of neat coffee shops in Chicago.

This use to be my favorite coffee spot, unfortunately they have redecorated and made it boring sad beige. I miss the colors. I also miss the Brie and pear sandwhich they use to serve. I think they are owned by another company now.
