SO excited about this new cafe! You gotta try the empanadas. Both the guava with cheese and chicken tinga empanada were amazing. The coffee was great too - you can't go wrong with Metric. The cafe is very cute inside with art made by local artists. Looking forward to coming back and trying everything else on the menu :)

The empanadas here are SO good. The dough is almost like puff pastry - yum! Coffee is excellent and the workers are so pleasant. Love this place when I have some extra time to treat myself in the morning. Highly recommend!

Wow! What an amazing little spot, the woman working behind the counter (I’m assuming the owner?) was so kind and welcoming. She made the coffee and warmed the empanadas super quick - this brings me to my main point - the empanadas WOW WOW WOW! I know other reviews have said this but they blew my mind! I started with a blueberry and cheese and then a potato and sausage ( i couldn’t help it!!)!! I never write reviews but I wanted to for this cafe, you can tell how much work the owner puts in and this is a spot I will be visiting time and time again from now on :) do yourself a favor and check it out!!

What a warm, colorful, delightful place to get coffee and warm, delicious crepes, pastries, and sandwiches. Everything there was delicious, and the service was so friendly and kind. You won't be disappointed.

Popped in here looking for a coffee shop we hadn't tried and were SO impressed! The empanadas were the best we've ever had. Iced lattes were delicious. The environment they have created in their shop is so cute. The baristas were so kind and welcoming. Can't wait to come back!!

Had an amazing experience! The barista was very knowledgeable about the history of the owner and the shop. We had a large group of 8, and our orders were taken and prepared in no time at all. Coffee was amazing. Empanadas were top tier. 🤰🏾🤙🏾

I am convinced this is the most charming coffee shop in Chicago. Incredible service, strong coffee, and an owner that makes you feel like family the moment you walk in. Of course the empanadas are to die for — definitely try the poblano!

And if you’re lucky enough to catch the live music you won’t forget it.
